Insurance, fintech, startup, or climate-risk experience is beneficial but not required. The position is remote within the United States.

Arbol’s key differentiator versus traditional InsurTech or climate analytics platforms is the complete ecosystem it has built to address climate risk. This ecosystem includes a massive climate data infrastructure, scalable product development, automated, instant pricing using an artificial intelligence underwriter, blockchain-powered operational efficiencies, and non-traditional risk capacity bringing capital from non-insurance sources. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to build Arbol’s sales pipelines. You’ll be engaging prospective clients through managing inbound leads, driving outbound outreach to build interest in Arbol’s products and services. This role works the sales team to build pipelines, identify new opportunities, and nurture existing relationships to drive Arbol’s business. Ideal candidates are natural closers who are willing to hustle to hit their numbers. Insurance or fintech experience is a bonus, but not a requirement.
We are based in New York City, but open to candidates who work remotely from the United States.
What You'll Be Doing
- Outbound Prospecting: reach out to qualifying leads through outbound calling and email
- Qualify Inbound Leads: Receive and triage inbound leads, routing and prioritizing
- Maintain Existing Relationships: maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities and ensure needs are being met through ongoing communication
- Partner With Sellers: sourcing pipelines, researching potential leads, and build account strategies
- Measuring and Tracking Sales Metrics: create and share detailed reports of pipeline metrics such as calls, meetings booked, conversion, ordering, and lost business
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR 1-2 years of outside sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding monthly/quarterly/annual sales quotas in outbound sales development
- Experience researching, prospecting, and cold calling potential customers and customer relationship management
- Excellent written and verbal communication
