The Role

We are looking for an assertive, high-energy, and emotionally intelligent Business Development Representative to hunt new enterprise logos across the Greater New York City corridor. This is not a desk-bound email cadencing role; your primary differentiator will be boots-on-the-ground execution. You will attend industry summits, host executive networking dinners, work corporate hubs, and secure face-to-face discovery meetings with C-level stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, CMOs, and Heads of Engineering). If you have high EQ, relentless grit, and a hunger to break into high-ticket enterprise IT services and AI modernization sales, this role is your launchpad.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead in-person prospecting and local hunting across the NYC metro area, targeting enterprise accounts in Fintech, Banking, Healthcare, Retail, and Logistics.

  • Act as Coderio’s frontline ambassador at New York tech meetups, private roundtables, venture forums, and conferences, converting conversations into qualified C-level discovery meetings.

  • Lead commercial conversations around Coderio’s core plays: rapid GenAI prototyping and governance, tech debt elimination, milestone-based digital product builds, and strategic staff augmentation.

  • Partner with Marketing to drive attendance at Coderio’s exclusive NYC executive dinner series and run high-touch follow-ups within 24 hours.

  • Qualify pipeline and map buying committees using the MEDDPICC framework to ensure multi-threaded account penetration.

  • Facilitate seamless hand-offs and brief Senior Client Partners and Pre-Sales Solutions Architects before introductory discovery calls.

  • Maintain meticulous pipeline records in our CRM, owning your territory activity, contact hygiene, and meeting conversion metrics.

Requirements

  • Based in the Greater NYC/NJ area with full authorization to work in the US, with availability to work out of our NYC office and travel locally to events and client meetings.

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), situational awareness, and executive presence to converse comfortably with Fortune 500 executives and technical leaders.

  • A relentless hunter mentality: self-motivated, coachable, disciplined, and energized by face-to-face networking and objection handling.

  • Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts (Cloud, GenAI, API integrations) into tangible business outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Commitment to meeting and exceeding clear performance benchmarks (12–16 qualified executive meetings/month; $1.5M+ in qualified pipeline/quarter).

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in B2B technology sales, tech staffing, or IT consulting internships/roles.

  • Familiarity with the MEDDPICC qualification framework and modern sales intelligence tools (e.g., Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).

  • Active involvement in collegiate leadership, competitive athletics, or military background.

  • Existing familiarity with or network within the New York enterprise technology ecosystem.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Long-term contract engagement with high impact and autonomy.

  • Strategic and high-visibility role within a modern engineering culture.

  • Opportunity to influence technical strategy, especially regarding modern event-driven architectures and AI integrations.

  • Collaborative international team with strong technical leadership.
