Business Development Representative

Built with tradesmen in mind, PlanHub is designed around the user workflow to help boost productivity, maintain deadlines, increase revenue, and create relationships for general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Easily post projects or submit bids with anytime-anywhere collaboration for every commercial construction trade. 


We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative with experience in Construction tech, SaaS industry, or Construction.  As a BDR, you will liaison PlanHub’s GC Customer Success Managers.  You will seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential General Contractors.


What you'll be doing:

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Contact potential General Contractors (GC) through cold calls and emails.
  • Prospecting and lead qualification to sub-contractor is a good fit.
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Schedule demos between (prospective) GC and GC CSM.
  • Educate, answer questions, and send resources to potential GC.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans. Represent our company’s preconstruction solutions, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our product(s) and solutions meet their needs.
  • Provide regular reporting of prospecting, pipeline and forecast through the HubSpot.
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, and products.
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers, and support staff.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual department goals as well as KPI’s

What you will need to be successful:

  • SaaS solutions - Construction space preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Experience with HubSpot, preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations 
  • Working knowledge of current tech stack: RingCentral, GSuite, Zoom, preferred. 
  • BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
  • English/Spanish speaking, preferred.

This role offers a base salary of up to $55,000 per year, depending on experience. It also includes a monthly performance-based bonus, earned by meeting variable targets. Bonuses are calculated and paid out each month, with total on-target earnings (OTE) expected to range around $80,000 - $88,000.


This position will be a remote position within the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer within the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
