Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions have direct impact to global security, like missile warning and Earth observation.

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who will formulate datasets, investigate findings, build visualizations, and develop strategies to drive efficiency at Millennium Space Systems. The Business Intelligence Analyst will have opportunities to contribute directly to projects that will help Millennium Space Systems achieve its strategic goals. Applications include identifying methods for measuring company health and performance; analyzing data to optimize current business operations; and utilizing historical data to help generate forward forecasts. This is an onsite role in El Segundo, California.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish performance metrics, capture reporting needs, and refine outputs based on feedback.
  • Develop custom datasets and perform data validation used to populate Power BI visuals and data-informed tools.
  • Develop process models, perform root-cause analysis, and generate time-series or regression forecasts that inform business operations, tool selection, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct workshops, create user guides, and provide ongoing support to ensure adoption of tools and dashboards.
  • Collect and implement stakeholder feedback.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Five years of professional experience in analytical roles focused on Power BI including DAX.
  • Knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience interacting with and manipulating relational datasets.
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise-wide dashboards that drive measurable productivity gains.
  • At least one programming language for data analysis, such as R, Python or Julia and notebook tool like Jupyter, Hex or Streamlit.
  • Experience leading at least one data-driven project with multiple stakeholders.
  • Concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Self-starter and a team player.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Master's Degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of professional experience in analytical roles, including but not limited to Operations Research, Data Analytics or Data Science.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods, including time series forecasting and regression analysis.
  • Experience working with API interfaces.
  • Experience with Git and GitLab.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence backend databases.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
  • Experience with Andea Manufacturo.
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, hard tech or government contracting

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
  • Level 3: $85,000 - $152,000
  • Level 4: $106,000 - $189,000

Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
