Position Overview:

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for driving global construction‑related cost analytics, modeling, reporting, and cost‑reduction initiatives to achieve project cost targets aligned with strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with team members and customers across Micron’s global sites to support profitability objectives and future cost‑down goals. This role partners with sourcing, engineering, finance, site leaders, and other collaborators to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Objectives & Planning: Develop and implement cost objectives and plans to achieve overall construction project cost targets.

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze construction categories using internal and external data to identify trends, irregularities, cost‑saving opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to decision‑makers.

  • Performance Tracking & Accountability: Monitor cost performance across projects and critical areas while holding workstreams accountable for meeting targets, goals, and deadlines.

  • Customer Alignment & Data Integrity: Ensure collaborators understand cost tracking and control mechanisms while maintaining data integrity and accessibility.

  • Multi-functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Partner with Procurement, Finance, Facilities Construction, Operations, and business analytics teams to identify cost opportunities, drive frameworks for continuous improvement, support competitive cost negotiations, and evaluate construction market conditions, benchmarking, trends, supply‑and‑demand challenges, and supplier insights.

  • Executive Communication & Reporting: Advance key achievements, risks, and barriers to executive leadership and support the development of tools for supervising and reporting cost data.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in cost management, cost controls, quantity surveying, or business analytics, preferably within semiconductor or cleanroom environments, including mega‑capital projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with knowledge of project management methodologies and construction delivery models (GMP, lump sum, unit price, T&M).

  • Strong proficiency in data management, analysis, and reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Access, SharePoint, and tools for creating presentations.

  • Experience with procurement and enterprise systems such as SAP, Scout, or similar platforms, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
