Description

The BI Developer at TherapyNotes is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role transforms raw data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations, primarily using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in data modeling and reporting with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models, including performing data transformations and optimizing queries for performance.
  • Connect and integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, Excel files, and cloud-based data services.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate access controls across reports and dashboards.
  • Monitor and optimize report performance, usability, and reliability.
  • Provide documentation, guidance, and training to end users to promote effective use of business intelligence tools.
  • Continuously enhance reporting solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Support broader analytics initiatives by helping establish best practices for data visualization, reporting, and data governance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing business intelligence or analytics solutions using Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data pipelines, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and present insights in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
