The Business Operations Lead role involves coordinating projects, analyzing data, and developing strategies to enhance business operations at Atticus, a platform supporting those in crisis.

Better Health is reinventing the home medical supply experience. We’re creating a new kind of provider – bundling peer support, coaching, education, and medical supplies into a seamless, end-to-end care model. We help members discover, qualify for, and receive the best products for managing their chronic conditions at home.

Since launching in late 2019, we’ve become licensed in 46 states for Medicare, 11 for Medicaid, and are in-network nationally with Oscar Health and Humana. Backed by Caffeinated Capital, General Catalyst, 8VC, and Bill Ackman, we’re rapidly scaling – and we need builders.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Business Operations Lead who can lead with execution and act as a force multiplier for the company. This isn’t just a “facilitator” role - we’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes full ownership of ad-hoc initiatives, and steps in to run functions or projects before we hire long-term owners.

You’ll report into leadership and help bridge strategy and execution across growth, clinical operations, product, supply chain, and customer service. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who wants to operate like an internal GM and sees business ops as a launchpad for broader leadership.

What You'll Do

Own & Execute Mission-Critical Projects

  • Take the lead on high-priority functions or new initiatives - getting them off the ground, bringing stability, and establishing clear structure and processes (e.g., Order Ops, Onboarding, Payer Integration).

  • Transform ideas from strategy deck to operational reality - define scope, drive execution, and measure impact

  • Serve as the connective tissue between leadership and on-the-ground execution

Drive Business Performance with Data & Rigor

  • Own KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for key ops work streams

  • Use SQL, Google Sheets, and dashboards to spot trends, model scenarios, and inform tradeoffs

  • Pressure-test assumptions and run analyses to drive decision-making

Build & Improve Systems

  • Design and implement repeatable, scalable processes to reduce cost, time, and error

  • Evaluate and deploy internal tools and automations to increase productivity

  • Work cross-functionally to unblock teams and remove operational friction

Support Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Help leadership define OKRs, monitor performance, and ensure initiatives are on track

  • Partner across teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Support) to align on priorities

  • Document learnings and transitions as functions grow and scale

What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years in business operations, consulting, strategy, or startup execution roles

  • Structure in ambiguity: bringing organization and project management to the table in a fast-paced environment

  • A bias for action: you’re the one who rolls up their sleeves and figures it out

  • Experience running or standing up operational workstreams (not just advising on them)

  • Strong analytical toolkit (Excel, Sheets, SQL, BI Tools/dashboards) and the ability to interpret data into action

  • Ability to influence across teams and comfort operating with limited structure

  • Healthcare, regulated industries, or marketplace experience is a plus

  • Startup experience is a plus

Why Join Us
