Choreo is a wealth management firm built on an interconnected network of financial advisors with a shared vision servicing entrepreneurs, CPAs, and individuals with a forward-thinking approach to financial planning to translate wealth into fulfillment. With over 200 employees and 40+ locations across the country, we are here to serve our clients beyond what is expected.

The Business Process Architect is a senior individual contributor operating at the intersection of business analysis, process design, and platform delivery. This role is explicitly hands‑on and execution‑oriented. The Business Process Architect produces concrete, decision‑ready artifacts such as process maps, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and change documentation that internal teams and external build partners can execute against without ambiguity. The role serves as connective tissue between business needs, platform capabilities, and delivered solutions across governance, data management, front and back-office workflows, and intelligent automation initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Process Discovery and Design

  • Map current‑state workflows across advisory, operations, and compliance functions, including variations by office and advisor practice model
  • Identify friction, redundancy, and automation opportunities prior to solution or platform decisions
  • Design future‑state processes that are realistic, scalable, and appropriate for a distributed advisor organization
  • Maintain a living process library that serves as a foundation for automation and applied intelligence initiatives

Requirements and Specification

  • Translate business needs into clear, executable functional specifications for internal teams and external build partners
  • Define acceptance criteria, edge cases, and data validation rules for all deliverables
  • Own the requirements backlog in coordination with project management and delivery teams
  • Support early‑stage intake by shaping loosely defined ideas into decision‑ready problem statements before they enter delivery backlogs
  • Serve as the internal process and functional voice on active builds, escalating only architectural or strategic decisions

Testing and Acceptance

  • Design and execute structured user acceptance testing for all platform and workflow deliverables
  • Clearly document defects and manage resolution cycles with build partners
  • Sign off on deliverables prior to leadership review and production release

Change Management and Enablement

  • Develop process documentation, training materials, and reference guides for new workflows and tools
  • Partner with system administrators and platform owners on rollout sequencing and adoption planning
  • Communicate process and workflow changes clearly to non‑technical, advisor‑facing audiences
  • Partner with Advisor Enablement, L&D and Enterprise Transformation teams to ensure alignment with strategic initiative timing

Process‑to‑Platform Alignment

  • Ensure approved future‑state processes are accurately translated into platform designs, automation logic, and system behavior
  • Identify and flag misalignments between intended process outcomes and technical implementations early in delivery

Automation and Intelligence Readiness

  • Evaluate processes for automation and applied intelligence readiness, identifying candidates for decision support, workflow automation, or assistive technologies
  • Partner with platform, data, and AI teams to ensure process design supports responsible and scalable intelligent solutions
  • Design business outcome reporting requirements that define how success will be measured after implementation, including operational metrics, adoption indicators, and process performance measures

Documentation Standards and Quality

  • Establish and maintain standards for process maps, functional specifications, and acceptance documentation used across platform initiatives
  • Ensure documentation quality supports consistent execution and institutional reuse

Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with platform strategy, data and engineering, operations, compliance, and advisor leadership teams
  • Support firm‑wide initiatives spanning process standardization, data governance, platform modernization, and applied AI
  • Preserve process intent from discovery through delivery and adoption

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business analysis, operations, technology, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in process design, business analysis, or similar roles, ideally in financial services or wealth management environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce documentation and specifications that technical and non‑technical teams can act on
  • Experience managing requirements and UAT for vendor‑delivered or externally built solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across advisor, operations, compliance, and technology audiences
  • Familiarity with CRM, portfolio accounting, or financial planning platforms such as Dynamics or Salesforce, Black Diamond, or eMoney

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with workflow automation or low‑code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform or equivalents
  • Exposure to data governance, MDM concepts, or multi‑system client data architectures
  • Comfort operating in environments where automation and applied intelligence are embedded in daily workflows
  • Wealth management or RIA industry experience
