Translate requirements into functional specifications, process diagrams, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with revenue, finance, legal, sales operations, and automation engineering teams. Support backlog planning, UAT, governance, audit validation, and data integrity across revenue systems.
Role Overview
Revenue & Sales Process Analysis
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support Revenue and Sales process automation within the n8n Automation Department. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, RevOps, Finance, and Technology, with a strong focus on Lead‑to‑Cash (L2C) and Quote‑to‑Cash (Q2C) workflows powered by n8n and Workato.
The ideal candidate is a systems‑thinking BSA who can analyze revenue workflows, identify automation opportunities, and design scalable integrations across CRM, CPQ, billing, and ERP systems—working closely with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, revenue‑safe automation.
Revenue & Sales Process Analysis
- Analyze and document current‑state and future‑state revenue and sales workflows, including:
- Lead → Opportunity → Quote → Order → Contract → Billing → Renewal
- Lead → Opportunity → Quote → Order → Contract → Billing → Renewal
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and manual handoffs across Sales, RevOps, Finance, and CS teams
- Translate business requirements into clear, automation‑ready functional specifications
- Partner with stakeholders to design end‑to‑end revenue automations using:
- n8n (primary)
- Workato (secondary)
- n8n (primary)
- Define integration flows across systems such as:
- Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud)
- Billing platforms (Stripe, Salesforce Billing, Zuora)
- ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- CLM tools (DocuSign, Conga, Adobe Sign)
- Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud)
- Ensure automations support pricing accuracy, contract integrity, billing correctness, and revenue predictability
- Act as a liaison between Revenue stakeholders and automation engineers
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with:
- Sales Operations
- Revenue Operations
- Finance & Accounting
- Legal & Compliance
- Engineering / Automation teams
- Sales Operations
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and roadmap planning for revenue automation initiatives
- Create and maintain:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications
- Process flows and integration diagrams
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Support UAT strategy, execution, and sign‑off for automated revenue workflows
- Validate automation outcomes against business rules, revenue policies, and audit requirements
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across CRM ↔ CPQ ↔ Billing ↔ ERP systems
- Revenue workflows are automated, auditable, and reliable
- Sales teams experience faster cycle times and fewer errors
- Finance trusts billing and downstream revenue data
- RevOps gains visibility and predictability
- Automation scales as products, pricing, and GTM strategies evolve
This is a 1099 contract role offering a competitive hourly rate of $75–$85, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, RevOps Analyst, or Sales Ops Analyst
- Strong hands‑on experience with n8n and/or Workato
- Proven experience supporting Lead‑to‑Cash / Quote‑to‑Cash processes
- Strong understanding of B2B revenue models:
- Subscriptions
- Usage‑based pricing
- Renewals, amendments, expansions
- Subscriptions
- Experience translating business needs into automation and integration requirements
- Familiarity with API‑driven integrations, event‑based workflows, and system orchestration
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Salesforce CPQ or Revenue Cloud exposure
- Experience designing automation in high‑growth SaaS environments
- Familiarity with webhook‑based and async processing patterns
- Prior experience supporting enterprise revenue transformations
- Certifications or formal training in:
- Salesforce Business Analyst
- Workato
- Automation / Integration Platforms
