Title: Cannabis Ambassador

Location: NYC (Stamford, CT)

Job Type: Full Time | Exempt

Travel Requirements: Up to 75%

About the Role:  The Cannabis Ambassador is responsible for driving local brand engagement and education across Curaleaf outlets and third-party dispensaries. This role supports the local sales team by delivering brand and product training to Curaleaf staff and independent dispensary teams. Additionally, the Ambassador will lead consumer engagement initiatives, including in-store demos, and participate in trade and select non-retail events. The position also involves collaboration with local Curaleaf influencers to strengthen brand presence.

What You’ll Do: 

Drive Brand Education Across All Regional Touchpoints

  • Implement training across all commercial touchpoints for Curaleaf.
  • Partner with sales teams to organize training schedules and frequency.
  • Manage training for both wholesale and Curaleaf retail staff.

Develop and Deploy Regional Education Materials

  • Customize brand training materials for regional audiences.
  • Train regional Curaleaf personnel on category, brands, and products.

Influence, Inspire & Incentivize

  • Build strong relationships and brand loyalty within the trade community.
  • Execute dispensary incentives to drive sales and reinforce product knowledge.
  • Deliver branded merchandise and swag to dispensaries, especially third-party stores.

Be the Go-To Expert for Regional Retailers and Consumers

  • Represent the brand at select consumer events, answering questions and presenting products.
  • Maintain consistent communication with regional sales teams (internal and external).
  • Implement digital training programs across the region.

Design and Support Product Launches

  • Collaborate with product and brand teams to develop training materials for new product introductions.
  • Ensure field teams are fully engaged and educated on new items.

What You’ll Bring:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in cannabis and cannabis science.
  • Engaging public speaker; skilled in influencing audiences.
  • Adept at calendar management.
  • Experienced in product training or sales.
  • Worked in regulated industries.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% throughout the region.
  • Must reside within the assigned sales region.

Even Better If:

  • Training or teaching accreditations.
  • Experience working in or with highly regulated industries (e.g., cannabis, alcohol, tobacco, pharma) strongly preferred.
  • Significant budtender experience or counter sales in a dispensary.
