What You’ll Do:

At CoreWeave, the Capacity Planning team is responsible for forecasting, modeling, and executing infrastructure supply strategies across our global data center footprint. The team ensures that compute and storage resources are available where and when they’re needed — enabling CoreWeave to deliver high-performance, efficient cloud services for AI and compute-intensive workloads.

About the Role:

As a Storage Capacity Planner II, you’ll own end-to-end storage capacity management — from demand forecasting and supply planning to deployment execution and utilization analysis. You’ll work cross-functionally with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, and Data Center Operations to align supply with business needs and ensure scalability. This role combines analytical modeling, operational execution, and strategic planning to optimize CoreWeave’s growing storage infrastructure across NVMe, SSD, HDD, and object/block systems.

Who You Are:
  • 5–7 years of experience in capacity planning, hardware planning, or supply/demand forecasting — ideally within storage, server, or data center infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of storage architectures, performance tiers, and capacity drivers (NVMe, SSD, HDD, RAID, distributed storage systems).
  • Skilled in managing and analyzing large datasets using Excel, SQL, or Python, and visualizing insights via Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Proven track record of partnering with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Experienced in scenario-based forecasting, modeling, and what-if analysis.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for translating data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, hyperscale, or data center environments is a strong plus.
Preferred:
  • Exposure to large-scale storage deployment projects and process automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with storage capacity modeling tools or systems.

Wondering if you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.

  • You love optimizing systems and uncovering efficiency improvements in complex infrastructures.
  • You’re curious about how large-scale storage systems support modern compute and AI workloads.
  • You’re an expert in data analysis and forecasting techniques that drive real-world impact.
