Pretium was founded in 2012 to capitalize on secular investment and lending opportunities arising as a result of structural changes, disruptions, and inefficiencies within the economy. Pretium has built an integrated analytical and operational ecosystem within the U.S. housing, residential credit, and corporate and structured credit markets, and believes that its insight and experience within these markets give the Firm its strategic advantage.

Position

We are seeking an Associate to join the Capital Markets team to support the execution of an array of financings including securitizations, revolving warehouse facilities and term loans. This candidate will be required to have strong communication (both written and verbal) and analytical skills as well as acute attention to detail. • Collaborate with the Capital Markets team, underwriting banks, and counsel to introduce innovative structural features to financings.
  • Communicate with various internal teams in different geographies to aggregate, analyze, and synthesize collateral information needed for both securitization and warehouse financings.
  • Deliver key market insights to senior management by analyzing and tracking data from both the securitization and broader financing markets to identify and monitor emerging trends.
  • Manage collateral documentation through third party data rooms for both securitizations and weekly warehouse fundings.
  • Financial modeling and capital planning for various Pretium investment vehicles.
  • Foster and expand relationships with capital markets counterparts at investment banks.
  • Keep apprised of the real estate market, specifically single-family residential real estate market, and analyze market data to prepare detailed reports for senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in finance with a strong preference for candidates with asset-backed structured finance, mortgage and/or corporate finance experience.
  • Self-starter comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to recognize and analyze problems, and develop practical, executable solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Highly proactive, with demonstrated character, integrity, and ethics.
  • Prior experience in investment banking or finance positions; proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products.

What We Offer

  • 401(k) plan with an employer match
  • 20 annual days of Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 12 firm holidays
  • Hybrid office/work from home arrangement (in office minimum of three days per week, strongly preferred four days per week)
  • Annual base salary range for this role is expected to be between $125,000 - $160,000
    • The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions.
  • Annual year-end bonus eligible
