Departmental Overview: IT Private Banking is the information technology partner of Credit Suisse's Private Banking division. We support our business and operations units around the globe with efficient and effective IT solutions customized to their specific needs. We offer services across the IT value chain: requirements engineering, development, deployment, maintenance, change management and support.

Our mission is to work in close partnership with our business in order to help them unleash the power of their IT investments and achieve their priorities. Our goal is to leverage technology to create a long term competitive advantage for Credit Suisse.

We operate various platforms to support existing systems as well as enable enhancements and new developments. This allows us to quickly respond to our customer requests and anticipate future needs.

Main responsibilities of the Role:

• Charles River Product knowledge to interface with High Touch Trading Support (HT), provide analysis and understand issues to provide solutions / resolutions in a timely manner.

• Analyze and coordinate resolution of data-related production issues.

• Maintain adequate communication with HT & clients and IT management; act as liaison between business, vendors and other support teams.

• Escalate issues when required to ensure timely resolution.

• Become primary point of contact for reporting and data issues and requests.

• Develop relationships with other IT groups to ensure all issues are addressed in an expatiated and effective manner and that users are kept updated at all times.

• Documentation of production applications and infrastructure.

• Maintain required level of infrastructure support; liaison with internal teams where necessary.

• Maintain all trading environments in conjunction with Environment Manager.

• Troubleshooting, development of support procedures, system testing and implementation.

Education:

Bachelors / Graduate degree (essential)

IT / Science / Maths / Engineering based certification (desirable)

Work Experience / Background:

Minimum 6 years IT experience in development or support related activities (essential)

5+ years of application development experience in the financial/banking domain [preferably in Private Banking /Wealth Management]. (desirable)

Technical / Business Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:

• Charles River Investment Management System Version 8 or 9

• Strong developer / support experience

• Strong Oracle SQL / PLSQL database development skills - data modelling, stored procedures, triggers, etc

• Experience in UNIX environments

• Superior skills in technical and business analysis

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, business writing skills

• SDLC / SDLC +, project execution and support processes (ITIL)

• Good knowledge/prior experience in financial services domain

Desirable:

• Private Banking or Wealth Management domain knowledge will be an advantage

• SharePoint

• Proficiency in XML, XSLT

• Knowledge of trading concepts and process flows

• Knowledge of Sybase and SQL Server
