Chief Marketing Officer

Bubble Skincare | New York, NY (4 days/week in office) | Reports to Founder & CEO

Compensation: $200,000.00-$300,000.00

The Role

Bubble is hiring its Chief Marketing Officer to lead the brand's next chapter of growth.

This is a senior, enterprise-level leadership role with full ownership of marketing strategy, brand, creator and social, retail demand, performance, PR, consumer insights, and team. The CMO will be a core strategic partner to the Founder & CEO and will lead one of the most consequential functions in the company.

About Bubble

Bubble is one of the most disruptive skincare brands of the last decade. Dermatologist-developed, clinically credible, culturally relevant, and built on one of the most engaged communities in beauty.

We have meaningful national retail distribution, strong brand awareness, category-leading products, and real scale already achieved. We are now entering our most important chapter yet: evolving from breakout success into enduring category leader.

What You'll Own

Enterprise Growth Strategy Lead the marketing strategy that takes Bubble from $150M+ to $500M+ and beyond. Own accountability to revenue, market share, household penetration, profitability, and long-term enterprise value. Build the multi-year roadmap and the operating cadence that delivers it. Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Product, Finance, Operations, and Creative to translate strategy into measurable growth. Evolve the marketing organization, channel mix, media strategy, and operational rigor as scale increases.

Brand Positioning and Audience Evolution Sharpen Bubble's positioning for its next era. Define a clearer, more powerful reason to choose Bubble at this stage of the brand's growth. Expand relevance with broader audiences and household decision-makers without diluting loyalty with the loved core. Translate Bubble's dermatologist-developed credentials into modern, differentiated, emotionally resonant brand communication.

Creator, Social, and Cultural Relevance Build a best-in-class creator ecosystem. Make Bubble one of the most relevant, talked-about, and shared skincare brands in culture. Oversee a social strategy that drives both attention and demand, and that sets the standard for the category.

Retail Demand and Omnichannel Performance Partner closely with Commercial leadership to accelerate brand productivity across national retail partners. Build retailer-facing marketing plans tied to measurable growth outcomes. Turn launches, campaigns, merchandising moments, and shopper marketing into compounding revenue impact. Hold accountability for sell-through and velocity in tandem with the Commercial team.

Performance Marketing, Lifecycle, and Conversion Own the full demand engine across paid media, lifecycle, CRM, and conversion. Pair brand love with a disciplined funnel. Build a performance practice that is sophisticated, accountable, and integrated with brand work rather than in tension with it.

Innovation Commercialization Lead world-class go-to-market execution across every new launch and hero product. Ensure each innovation lands with clarity, excitement, and commercial strength.

Marketing Organization and Talent Build, mentor, and upgrade a world-class modern marketing organization. Set the cultural tone for what excellence looks like inside Bubble. Raise standards, pace, accountability, and talent density. Hold full authority over org design, leveling, hiring, and team composition.

Consumer Insights, Analytics, and ROI Build a data-driven decision culture grounded in real consumer understanding. Use retail data, syndicated panels, consumer research, testing, and analytics to optimize growth. Pair creativity with rigor; neither is sufficient alone.

External Brand Representation Serve as a senior external face of the brand with retailers, the press, the dermatology community, the creator ecosystem, and the broader industry.

Who You Are

Required

  • 15+ years in consumer marketing, with a meaningful portion in senior leadership roles
  • Direct, hands-on experience helping scale a consumer brand from $150M+ toward $500M+, with clear ownership of the marketing strategy that drove that growth
  • Proven ability to drive brand equity and revenue growth in tandem, not at the expense of one another
  • Deep expertise across the full modern marketing stack: brand strategy, creators, social, PR, retail and shopper marketing, lifecycle, performance media, community, and innovation commercialization
  • Strong commercial acumen and full comfort owning growth outcomes alongside Commercial leadership
  • Track record building and leading high-performing teams of 25+, attracting elite talent, and developing future leaders
  • Sophisticated judgment about when to use brand to drive performance, and when to use performance to build brand
  • Comfort and skill operating as a peer to a strong Executive Creative function, partnering rather than absorbing
  • Sharp instincts paired with sharp data fluency
  • High urgency, high standards, builder mentality, allergic to mediocrity
  • Prior CMO or SVP-level marketing experience at a fast-growth consumer business

Strongly preferred

  • Skincare, beauty, personal care, wellness, or adjacent lifestyle categories
  • Experience marketing brands with scientific, clinical, dermatological, or healthcare credibility
  • Omnichannel retail experience across national mass and specialty partners
  • Experience modernizing or broadening the audience of a youthful brand
  • Experience operating successfully inside founder-led companies
  • International scaling experience
Leadership Traits

Ambitious. Commercially sharp. Highly accountable. Consumer-obsessed. Fast-moving. Data-driven. A strong people leader. Comfortable with healthy debate. Builder mentality. Hands-on when needed.

Why This Role
  • Already scaled brand with significant whitespace ahead
  • Exceptional product quality and a community moat unmatched in the category
  • Meaningful national retail footprint already established
  • Founder-led company with speed, conviction, and ambition
  • The chance to build one of the defining skincare brands of the next decade
