As Chief of Staff - Dow Jones Energy (COS), you will manage functions essential to the productivity of the Dow Jones Energy General Manager, Dow Jones Energy Head of Strategy & Operations, and the broader Dow Jones Energy leadership team.
You will manage the various commitments of the Dow Jones Energy General Manager and execute their new priorities. You will serve as their point-person on a day-to-day basis and foster strong relationships with their direct reports on the leadership team. You will have awareness of all activity throughout the business and ensure that growth initiatives are implemented successfully. You will clearly communicate information and actions from the GM and act as a proxy on their behalf with various stakeholders including Executive Leadership Team members.
This role requires daily onsite work in the midtown Manhattan office. You will report to the Head of Strategy and Operations.

You Will:Provide priority management and oversight for the the GM
Demonstrate solid understanding of Dow Jones’ core business and strategic plan
Regularly promote the GM’s vision to the broader team to ensure alignment and productivity
Facilitate decision-making with the GM and Energy leadership team
Develop client engagement strategy for the GM in alignment with business priorities
Manage the operating rhythm for the business in collaboration with the Energy Leadership Team and finance partners to ensure alignment on strategy and goals
Execute on the vision through tight management of strategic, high-growth projects that are cross-department and cross-brand
Manage change management programs in collaboration with the Leadership team
Travel to meetings with the GM or her representative
At least 10 years’ professional experience which includes cross-functional leadership roles as a Chief of Staff or in operations, strategy or management consulting roles
Experience working closely with executive leaders
Effectively managed simultaneous activities in a fast-paced business environment
Flexible schedule which includes availability for last-minute domestic or international travel
An interest in energy, commodities, chemicals and environmental commodities
