The Chief of Staff, Sales position is a critical role within Chamberlain Group's Sales function, enabling the Chief Revenue Officer to work more effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This is a highly strategic and facilitative role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active, operational and communicative role.

A successful incumbent is expected to (I) proactively streamline and oversee strategic business initiatives and day-to-day tasks to ensure the Sales organization is set up for success, (ii) anticipate the needs of the organization and CRO, acting as a liaison, and (iii) provide support and be responsible for a broad variety of tasks that facilitate the CRO’s ability to effectively lead the Sales functions across Chamberlain Group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define new operational strategies by working with the CROO and other executives on special projects

  • Support CRO ranging from day-to-day activities to strategic initiatives (presentations, preparation for critical meetings and business reviews)

  • Organize and run effective sales meetings, including planning agendas, preparing briefs, manage discussions, document key information and action items, and follow up to drive toward milestones

  • Facilitate and manage the end-to-end process of identifying, prioritizing, chartering, communicating, and managing key strategic business projects

  • Solve complex problems using data, business knowledge, and collaboration across organizations

  • Drive clarity and alignment across sales functions and business units

  • Develop and build relationships with all employees and leaders for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations

  • Serve as subject matter for all sales initiatives.  Act as subject matter expert by handling inquiries, developing action plans, and assisting with preparation and dissemination of communications

  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications to drive cohesive communication strategy and change management efforts between sales functions and broader organization

  • Work closely with Sales Operations to Identify and drive overall operational efficiency & effectiveness opportunities across the organization

  • Collaborate with HR partners & CRO to design and drive culture & engagement initiatives

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar field

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, sales operations, business management, consulting or equivalent job-related experience as defined in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives

  • Superior organizational skills and project management abilities

  • Keen business acumen with deep understanding of business operations

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions

  • Emotional intelligence, self-motivation and strong analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Able to travel up to 15% - domestically and internationally

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or quantitative discipline preferred

  • Masters of Business Administration is a strong plus

  • Sales and sales operations experience with a focus on operations management

  • Experience in data analysis and budget management

  • Project reporting skills with focus on interdepartmental communications

  • Experience advising at the executive level

The pay range for this position is $123,600.00 - $216,150.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
