Manage global safety and security operations, oversee investigations, compliance, and incident management, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure workplace.

Datadog is looking for a highly strategic, technical, and results-driven Chief of Staff (CoS) to help drive cross-functional initiatives across the global Technical Solutions (TS) organization and GTM function at large. This individual will work closely with the SVP of Worldwide Technical Solutions and their VP-level direct reports to help scale our global programs, keep key stakeholders informed, and deliver TS initiatives on time and on budget. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, a deep understanding of customer-facing technical teams (solutions engineering, professional services, customer success, etc.), and the ability to manage complex projects while enabling the team to scale effectively.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Annual Planning & Execution – Lead cross-functional taskforces across multiple TS disciplines (Sales Engineering, Product Solutions Architecture, Technical Post Sales, Customer Success, Technical Support Engineering, and Operations) to make progress on top company priorities. Drive the annual planning process together with our Growth Strategy and Finance teams.
  • Leadership Support & Stakeholder Engagement – Serve as a strategic liaison between the SVP, TS leadership team, C-level members, and other key stakeholders. Facilitate executive decision-making by providing critical information, context, and insights. Represent SVP in meetings, ensuring continuity and clarity in communication.
  • Strategic Projects & Coordination Help drive ad-hoc initiatives to boost organization efficiency within TS throughout the year. Craft executive communications, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Support change management efforts, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.
  • Operational Efficiency & Business Enablement – Develop and optimize internal processes, workflows, and communication strategies to enhance efficiency across teams. Support business planning, goal-setting, and performance tracking to ensure organizational alignment. Drive accountability and follow-up on key initiatives, ensuring timely execution.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or technical graduate degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in technical strategy (pre- and post sales), solutions engineering, consulting, business operations, or a CoS-type role in a technical function.
  • Deep understanding of technical sales, customer solutions, and enterprise software/SaaS landscapes.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage effectively with engineers, sales teams, and customers.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and project management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strategic thinker who is able to prioritize business impact in a fast paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and oral, you can distill large volumes of information down to the key elements for the right audience.
  • An effective collaborator, you have strong interpersonal skills and are able to build relationships at all levels.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
