About TADA

TADA (which means "Let’s Ride" in Korean) is a Singapore-based ride-hailing platform that has disrupted the Southeast Asian market since its launch in 2018. Unlike traditional giants like Uber or Lyft, TADA operates on a zero-commission model. Instead of taking a large percentage of every fare (often 20% or more), TADA charges drivers a small, fixed platform fee. This ensures that drivers retain more of their hard-earned income and riders enjoy more competitive, transparent pricing.

Powered by MVL’s blockchain, TADA creates a "fairness-first" ecosystem. By recording ride data securely and transparently, the platform incentivizes safe driving and high service quality through a token-based rewards system. Having already captured significant market share in Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Hong Kong, TADA is now bringing its blockchain-backed, driver-centric model to the West, with New York City serving as the cornerstone of its North American expansion.

About the Role

TADA is seeking a visionary City Manager to spearhead our entry into the New York City market. As the entrepreneurial leader of our most strategic launch to date, you will be responsible over the city’s P&L, operational excellence, and market growth.

This role is for a high-velocity leader who can navigate the complexities of NYC’s regulatory landscape while building a high-performing team from scratch. You will turn TADA’s global strategy into a localized reality, scaling our "fairness-first" model sustainably and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Market Ownership

  • Market Entry & P&L: Take full ownership of TADA’s NYC performance, managing the budget and P&L to drive sustainable growth and market share.
  • Competitive Strategy: Execute high-impact strategies to differentiate TADA from incumbents, focusing on superior service quality and our unique zero-commission model.

2. Marketplace & Operational Excellence

  • Supply & Demand Growth: Lead aggressive driver-partner acquisition and engagement while scaling rider demand through hyper-local initiatives.
  • Service Reliability: Solve complex operational bottlenecks in real-time to maintain 100% service reliability across all five boroughs.

3. Data-Driven Leadership

  • Analytical Decision-Making: Monitor market health through sophisticated dashboards; identify risks early and pivot strategy based on rigorous data insights.
  • Unit Economics Optimization: Use performance metrics to optimize incentive structures, pricing elasticity, and customer acquisition costs (CAC).

4. Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement

  • External Representation: Act as the primary face of TADA to the TLC, driver unions, local government, and community stakeholders.
  • Ecosystem Building: Forge strategic partnerships with NYC organizations to strengthen TADA’s local footprint and brand advocacy.

5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Synergy

  • Team Building: Recruit, coach, and lead a high-calibre local team, fostering a culture of ownership, resilience, and "fairness."
  • Product Liaison: Partner with regional Product and Policy teams to localize features and ensure full compliance with NYC-specific regulations.

What You Will Need

  • Experience: 6–10 years in high-growth operations, top-tier management consulting, or investment banking. Experience in NYC mobility or logistics is a significant advantage.
  • Analytical Rigor: Expert ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business plans (SQL proficiency and advanced modeling skills preferred).
  • Execution DNA: A proven track record of driving "zero-to-one" projects from initial planning to full-scale implementation.
  • Communication & Influence: A clear, confident communicator capable of building trust with drivers, corporate partners, and global leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Resilient, flexible, and calm under the high-pressure environment of a major city launch.
