Job Summary
The Client Partner (CP) role at Vertical Relevance is a strategic position focused on driving business growth within the financial services sector. As a CP, you will be responsible for identifying and closing new consulting opportunities, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and positioning Vertical Relevance as a trusted partner for business and technology consulting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Identify and close new consulting opportunities in financial services.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to effectively position Vertical Relevance's services.
    • Leverage personal networks and internal relationships to generate leads.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
    • Position Vertical Relevance as a strategic partner for business and technology consulting solutions.
    • Manage client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaboration & Strategy
    • Work with internal delivery teams to develop competitive proposals and estimates. 
    • Collaborate with solution partners (AWS, ServiceNow) to create go-to-market strategies. 
    • Drive account planning processes to uncover opportunities within existing clients and develop new logos. 
  • Sales Execution
    • Manage multiple deal cycles concurrently while maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast data. 
    • Meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas by driving revenue growth through strategic engagements. 
  • Leadership & Advocacy
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business challenges and offering tailored solutions. 
    • Represent Vertical Relevance at industry events to build brand awareness and network with potential clients. 

Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience selling consulting services or software solutions into the financial services industry. 
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a consultative selling environment. 
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. 
  • Familiarity with business development methodologies, including technology roadmaps and assessments. 
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields are a plus.
