Job Title: Cloud Architect

Job Location: NYC, NY

Job Type: Contract


Description:

• Hands on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix Xen, Hyper-V, LPARs, VPARs, Logical Domains, Zones, and/or Containers).

• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies including vSphere, vCenter management suite, Site Recovery Manager, vCloud Suite, and Horizon Suite

IAAS Service Providers: Amazon, Google Web Services, Terremark, Softlayer Open source cloud and service automation tools; Openstack, Chef, Puppet.

• Experience with x86 server and converged infrastructure technologies including IBM, Dell, HP and Cisco UCS

• Experience with storage platforms including NetApp and EMC

• Demonstrated ability to be a thought-leader in a team environment

• Advanced experience and knowledge of Cloud including Infrastructure as a Service, public and private cloud solutions.

• Hands on experience with vCloud Director / Open Stack, including understanding of the various components and architectures, key integration points, and familiarity the various open source standards.

• Knowledge and experience with Software Defined Data Centers tools and technologies.

• Hands on experience with the VMware suit of virtualization tools, including vCloud Director and vCloud orchestrator.

• Deep understanding, hands on experience and certification with hypervisor technologies

• Experience with cloud based infrastructure architecture and design, including orchestration and automation.

• Expert knowledge and experience with converged infrastructure. (Automation, Orchestration, and SDN)

• Data Center/Server Operational Components (Monitoring, Management, etc.).

• Designing and implementing Cloud solutions.

• Experience with Citrix virtualization technologies including XenApp, XenDesktop, XenMobile and NetScaler   

• Advanced experience and knowledge of Cloud including Infrastructure as a Service, public and private cloud solutions and integration.

• Hands on experience with the Microsoft’s Systems Center virtualization tools, including SCCM and SCVM. Solid understanding of enterprise server technologies including ESX, Windows 2008 OS, Apache, WebLogic, Java J2EE, SQL, Oracle, MS messaging, Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), etc.

• Attention to detail, results driven with focus on high quality and excellent customer service as well as the ability to multi-task.

• Ability to keep calm during a period of crisis and to provide the leadership and direction required to resolve the issue. Can perform independently with minimal supervision and make decisions in ambiguity.
