As CMS refreshes its Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning framework, we are looking for a CMS Demand Planning Lead to partner with the strategy, business winning, and program management teams to integrate customer, market, and pipeline insights into a single, risk-adjusted demand signal that drives alignment and provided the foundation for the mid-term planning activities that enable predictable business performance. As a co-leader of the SIOP framework, this role partners with the Supply Planning Lead to ensure the organization is making deliberate, optimized trade-offs across customer service, cost, and schedule targets.
This role leads the Portfolio Planning review and co-leads the Demand Planning review for CMS SIOP as critical desion-making forums-assessing scenarios, quantifying tradeoffs, and driving alignment on a single, enterprise-supported plan. The SIOP Demand Planning Lead operates as a decision architect, ensuring leadership is equipped to make timely, data-driven decisions that balance short-term execution with long-term capability and financial objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & INTERFACES
- Collaborate with strategy, business winning, and program management functions to consolidate sources of demand across the CMS portfolio into an aligned, forward-looking demand signal, including firm orders as well as various scenarios and possibilities for forecasted demand.
- Develop and strengthen the process to translate the demand plan into detailed supply requirement signals. Communicate changes in the supply requirement signals as a co-lead of the monthly demand review forum.
- Analyze and communicate gaps between current demand outlook and business objectives, partnering with the strategy and capture teams to evaluate necessary adjusements to market and customer strategies to improve pipeline conversion and award.
- Co-create new methods to understand and assess forecasted health of our portfolio, understanding and challenging win probability and timing, and translating opportunities and risks into demand scenarios with clear signposts and trigger points.
- Drive scenario planning techniques within the business strategy and capture functions to ensure the bsuiness has a credible, risk-adjusted view of future demand-defining pipeline opportunities and risks and translating these into defined scenarios that allow assessment of operational risks to exeuction and financial impacts.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 7+ years of experience within capture, strategy, or program management oriented roles of increasing responsibilty.
- Experience with planning processes focused on optimizing the long-term strategy for a function, program, or business unit.
- Experience leading cross-functional planning forums or reviews and driving alignment at multiple organizational teams or levels.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced excel capabilities; ability to structure and interpret forward-looking data.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business or a related field.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- 10+ years of experience within capture, strategy, or program management oriented roles of increasing responsibilty.
- Experience supporting Integrated Businness Planning or Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning processes.
- Strong understanding of demand planning best practices for a made-to-order manufacturer of long-lead, complex systems, particulary beneficial if within the Defense acquisition environment.
- Experience with demand planning tools and integration with Oracle as the primary supply planning system.
- Relevant certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, IBF CPF, PMP, APMP, or advanced analytics, finance, or sales/capture credentials.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business or a related field.
