JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Studio is the division of Interplay that builds new companies from scratch. We come up with ideas internally, diligence them hard and when we can’t kill them... we build them.

We are seeking a Cofounder & CEO to lead the launch and growth of a new venture focused on Digital / Vertical Operating Twins for Critical Infrastructure. You will be responsible for taking the concept from a validated idea to a scaled production powerhouse. While you run the entire company, Interplay provides the institutional "back-office" to help you succeed.

Interplay is a startup ecosystem that supports founders via venture capital, an accelerator, a studio, a platform of core business services, and a multi-family office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of a new company.

  • Define company strategy & vision.

  • Develop the go-to-market strategy and operational model.

  • Recruit the team.

  • Raise capital.

  • Scale.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Have built a company before.

  • Laugh (often).

  • Have a great attitude and are willing to get your hands dirty.

  • Are willing to run through brick walls without a helmet.

  • Love problem solving and winning

  • Have relevant industry experience.

  • Have direct experience building, selling, or operating software, data, analytics, digital twin, asset-management, or industrial technology platforms for utilities, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or other asset-heavy markets.

  • Can establish immediate credibility with infrastructure operators, utility executives, engineering leaders, public-sector buyers, systems integrators, and strategic customers.

  • Understand infrastructure workflows and technologies such as asset-performance management, predictive analytics, GIS, SCADA, CMMS/EAM, ERP integrations, IoT, or simulation.

  • Have demonstrated experience raising institutional or venture capital; prior leadership in a successfully exited VC-backed company is strongly preferred.

  • Are hyper-organized.

  • Have the ability to work well in an unstructured environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.

The company will build a vertical software platform that helps infrastructure owners and operators understand asset condition, predict failure risk, prioritize maintenance, plan capital projects, and improve resilience across complex physical systems.
