Organization & Team Overview FreeWheel, a Comcast company, provides comprehensive ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers. Role Description
FreeWheel is seeking a Strategy Intern to support strategic planning, research, and analytical projects. This role provides exposure to the ad‑tech industry, opportunities to collaborate across departments, and the chance to contribute to initiatives that shape the future of FreeWheel.
As an intern, you will gain experience in:
- Researching emerging technologies and trends relevant to the ad‑tech ecosystem
- Conducting market and competitive analysis
- Using data to uncover insights that inform strategic decision‑making
- Supporting cross‑functional projects across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and more.
Sample Projects
Interns may work on projects such as:
- Exploring new innovations (e.g., AI‑driven solutions)
- Analyzing marketplace trends to identify new opportunities
- Assessing competitive dynamics and key industry shifts
You’ll have the opportunity to own work from start to finish and present insights to Strategy team members and leaders.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct basic market research and support competitive analysis
- Assist with developing simple data summaries, reports, and trend analyses
- Help prepare materials for strategic presentations and leadership discussions
- Support ad hoc research and strategy projects
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to gather information
- Contribute ideas during strategic planning sessions
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
- Interest in data analysis, problem solving, and strategic thinking
- Familiarity with tools like Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with or interest in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Curiosity about media, technology, advertising, or consulting fields
- Preferred Majors: Business, Economics, Communications, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related fields
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- An undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university, as a Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between December 2026 – May 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Base Pay: $27.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
