Job Description

As a Commercial Business Analyst, your main focus will be to work in commercial analytics, using data and insights to support sales, marketing, and e‑commerce performance. You analyze campaigns, customer behavior, and performance metrics to drive informed commercial decisions.

This on-site role reports into our Commercial Manager and is based out of New York Support Office.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*

Insights and Analytics

  • Plan, quantify and drive execution of tactical activations in the Sales Market, in collaboration with Continent SP (e.g., on article selection), within the budget and frame set by Global (e.g., maximum discount)
  • Consult and collect input from Commercial Leads on plan and execution of tactical activations
  • Drive business cases and follow-up of 'Big rocks', in alignment with Commercial Manager and Commercial leads
  • Conduct sales follow-up, analyzing and generating sales insights from reports and dashboards
  • Conduct 360 analysis from customer, web and sales perspective to gather insights relevant for Commercial team
  • Analyze full funnel web performance across .com and app, including traffic, user behavior, product performance, and sales
  • Support providing insights on campaign effectiveness, including conversion attribution and return on ad spend
  • Analyze sales, customer and web data to draw insights related to QCP, product, assortment and pricing
  • Plan, support, and evaluate A/B and multivariate testing to optimize customer experience and conversion in online store and CRM/Email
  • Conduct customer segmentation, cohort analysis, and product performance reviews
  • Implement tagging, tracking, and SEO analytics to ensure accurate data collection and improve visibility in owned channels

Collaboration

  • Support Digital Experience Manager, E-com Leads, Commercial Leads and Marketing team with analytics activities and share insights

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years’ commercial analytics experience, preferably in eCommerce or fashion retail
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, and Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and web tracking implementation
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills

Compensation: salary range is $132,560
