Overview:
Skillsoft is looking to add a talented communications associate to our team to support our overall external PR strategy. This individual should be passionate about gaining new skills and experiences and will build strong media relations, project management, time management, and writing skills. They will also generate creative ideas, while contributing to the execution of strategic, content-rich campaigns that inspire action and build value amongst the media, customers, employees, and greater Skillsoft community.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Consume a diverse mix of media (broadcast, social, podcasts, digital, print) to familiarize yourself with the news landscape, especially related to e-learning, and identify opportunities for Skillsoft
- Develop and demonstrate an understanding of Skillsoft, its products and services, competitive landscape, differentiators, and more
- Pursue and secure media opportunities in trades and verticals while building and nurturing relationships with key journalists
- Own and maintain coverage and metrics trackers, media lists, and daily news scans
- Create strategic and thoughtful content in the form of pitches, bylines, and blogs
- Draft media background and briefing materials to prepare spokespeople for interviews
- Build and maintain awards calendar, while supporting with submission drafts
- Support the compilation of quarterly reports and planning decks
- Cross-collaborate with broader marketing organization and key project stakeholders
Skills & Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience in comms or PR; B2B tech and agency experience is a plus
- Passionate about the power of earned media
- Proactive with asking questions and resourceful in seeking answers
- Team player with the willingness to work collaboratively alongside peers
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Target salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $50K to $70K annualized.
We also offer full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
