Ollie was born with the mission of improving the lives of pets and pet parents nationwide. We make human-grade pet food, tailored for each dog’s nutritional needs, and deliver directly to our customers’ doors. Through Ollie’s carefully crafted meals and health services for members, dogs can truly live their healthiest, happiest lives.

As a member of our growing team, you’ll take part in a company culture that cares deeply about its work and its team members.

As our Community Manager you will work directly with our Social Media Lead to disrupt a $30 billion industry. You love collaborating with a team and using a consumer centric philosophy to develop your approach to detailed work and consumer connection. Your expertise and dedication to streamline our team’s efforts and create robust community connections will help the team achieve its mission to get Ollie into the bowls of dogs everywhere.

We’re looking for a part-time Community Manager to lead social engagement and be the voice of Ollie across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more. In this role, you'll proactively connect with the Ollie and broader dog-loving community–responding to comments, engaging in conversations, and keeping an eye on trends to spark meaningful interactions.

This is a part-time (15hr/week) remote independent contractor/1099 employee position, and will report to Ollie’s Social Media Lead.

What You'll Do:

  • Engage with and manage the Ollie and broader dog community across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and monitor comments and trends to foster a sense of community and drive meaningful interactions.
  • Drive proactive social interactions across social channels to keep Ollie involved in relevant conversations and top of mind for social users.
  • Reach out proactively to users who are not currently following or engaging with Ollie’s social media channels. Like, comment on, and respond to their content, and keep track of these interactions.
  • Implement strategies to grow and nurture our online community through effective engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activities, relevant conversations, and user feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Lead to support social media campaigns, giveaways, promotions, and events.
  • Address community issues, conflicts, and feedback with professionalism and empathy.
  • Build positive relationships with community members, influencers, dog owners, and other stakeholders to enhance community engagement and increase brand visibility.

Who You Are:

  • You have a proven experience as a Community Manager or similar role in social media management.
  • You have a strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • You're familiar with social media tools (i.e. Sprout Social).
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You're a creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content and messages.
  • You possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • You're passionate about dogs and dog wellness.
  • You can work independently and alongside the Social Media Lead.
  • You're able to craft engaging, brand-aligned responses. Humor is encouraged!

What We Value:

Keeping Dogs At The Heart
Our profound love for dogs unites us and drives and inspires every aspect of our business. We wholeheartedly believe dogs make us better in life and at work.

Being Courageous And Kind
We create a safe, inclusive space for everyone to show up as their authentic selves. We check our egos at the door and speak our minds. We embrace diverse backgrounds and perspectives as they bring new and different ideas and ways of working together.

Setting New Standards
We believe in continually raising the bar, never settling for less than our best as a team and individuals. We keep improving from the quality of our products to our customer experience to how we work.

We are building an impactful business while making memorable experiences with one another. We celebrate our successes, learn from our failures, and enjoy our collective journey. Our time at Ollie should be a milestone in our careers.
