About the AMA Program:

The "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) format is a cornerstone of the platform, connecting communities with fascinating individuals from all walks of life – celebrities, scientists, politicians, artists, and everyday people with unique experiences. AMAs foster engaging dialogue and provide unparalleled access for Redditors to ask their burning questions.

The Role:

Reddit is seeking an AMA Program Lead for a 9-month contract. You will design and implement the program, soup to nuts. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for driving the overall success of the AMA program as the cross-functional leader. You will work closely and lead the program with the Community, Comms, Social, BD, Growth and Marketing teams to ensure the AMA program can reach its full potential globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the success of the AMA program through effective communication and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to promote upcoming and past AMAs, highlighting key participants and compelling content.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns across Reddit and potentially external channels (social media, etc.) to increase awareness and participation in AMAs.
  • Lead the creative execution strategy to develop engaging promotional content, including social media posts, blog posts, and other marketing materials.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with media outlets to secure coverage for high-profile AMAs.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of communication and marketing efforts, providing regular reports and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the AMA partnerships and scheduling team, community managers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of AMAs and related promotions globally.
  • Ensure all communications and marketing efforts align with the Reddit brand and the unique voice of the AMA program.
  • Keep abreast of social media trends, marketing best practices, and relevant news to identify new opportunities for promoting the AMA program.
  • Enablement: Create onboarding materials and best practices guides for AMA guests to ensure a smooth and successful experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in growth program management, product marketing, communications or marketing management, preferably within a digital or social media environment or large platform.
  • Have led cross-functional teams to successful outcomes. Result articulation expected.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication and marketing campaigns. Portfolio with examples expected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and guide production.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Passion and understanding of Reddit and its communities is a must.
  • Familiarity with the AMA format and Reddit culture is highly desirable.
  • Fun to work with, scrappy and ‘get it done’ DNA.

To Apply:
