Job Description
As a Compensation Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the team supporting SailPoint's global compensation programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic environment, contributing directly to highly visible program administration, insightful data analysis, effective stakeholder engagement, and an exceptional employee experience. You will be instrumental in ensuring our compensation practices remain both competitive and equitable, all while significantly expanding your professional knowledge in global compensation strategy. This is a fully remote role but might require occasional travel (once or twice a year) to headquarters in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
Benchmarking & Market Data: Engage in benchmarking activities, including survey submission and data analysis. Manage vendor relationships where required. Support the maintenance of existing salary ranges and assist in identifying market trends to ensure program market competitiveness.
Market Analysis: Conduct ad hoc market analyses for existing and new roles across various geographic locations, utilizing standard practices and procedures.
Consultation & Support: Provide guidance to managers and stakeholders on compensation recommendations. Ensure adherence to established compensation philosophy and guidelines while balancing business needs.
Program Administration: Provide analytical and administrative support for global base pay, incentive, and equity programs. This includes data entry, report generation, data audits, and assisting with program documentation.
Annual Review Support: Support the annual focal review processes (merit, bonus, and equity planning) through the effective use of Workday. Assist with system testing, adjustment analyses, budget tracking, and execution to ensure fair decisions.
Bonus Tracking: Manage bonus tracking by calculating amounts and preparing summaries for review by senior team members.
Compensation related Inquiries: Address inquiries from employees and stakeholders through ServiceNow, exercising judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions.
Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to compensation.
Project Participation: Own tasks within compensation-related projects as needed.

Within the First 30 Days:
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to understand their expectations and current operational challenges.
Compensation Acumen: Develop a foundational understanding of SailPoint's compensation philosophies, terminology, programs, and processes.
System Proficiency: Begin to utilize Workday for essential functions including data entry, report generation, data audits, and foundational analytical tasks.
Cultural Integration: Familiarize yourself with SailPoint's organizational culture and actively seek information to aid integration.
Within the First 90 Days:
Relationship Building: Establish effective working relationships with diverse internal stakeholders.
Process Mastery: Deepen your understanding of compensation programs and processes, with a specific focus on commonly used modules within Workday.
Benchmarking Knowledge: Gain familiarity with compensation benchmarking activities with Radford.
Analytical Contribution: Conduct necessary analyses, leveraging support from your manager.
Operational Efficiency: Utilize the ServiceNow ticketing system to address common inquiries.
Global Perspective: Begin to understand global compensation practices and gain exposure to various projects.
Within the First 6 Months:
Strategic Contribution: Provide fresh perspectives and share insights with management.
Independent Execution: Take ownership of assigned and recurring tasks, operating with increasing autonomy and accuracy.
Insight Generation: Demonstrate the ability to conduct thorough analyses and translate data into actionable insights.
Project Engagement: Actively contribute to compensation-related projects by executing assigned tasks and deliverables, with increasing opportunities to take ownership of some project components as the role matures
Requirements
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in advanced MS Excel functions (Lookups, Pivot Tables, If/Sumif formulas, and related functions).
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data effectively and provide insights based on results. Possess strong attention to detail and the capacity for self-verification of work.
Survey Experience: Experience with compensation survey participation and analysis (Radford preferred).
Focal Programs: Prior experience supporting annual focal or merit cycles.
Discretion: Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential and proprietary information.
Problem Solving: Focused on resolving business problems by applying learned techniques and exercising sound judgment within defined practices. Able to proactively locate resources or seek assistance to solve problems.
Collaboration: Strong cross-team collaboration skills with the ability to communicate progress and assumptions clearly to minimize rework.
Growth Mindset: Commitment to continuous learning, openness to feedback (both positive or negative), and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities or directions.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance or relevant field, plus 2 years of related experience (or equivalent work experience).
Prior experience with the Workday Compensation module.
Experience in global compensation practices and regulations.
Familiarity with the evolving role of AI in data analysis or process optimization, and a strong interest in learning its potential application within compensation

Stakeholders: HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Stock Administration, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and Business Leaders.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$66,900 - $95,600 - $124,300Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
