Support the management and implementation of SOPHiA GENETICS' Compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations in every country where our products and services are marketed
Own healthcare compliance operations, including drafting and reviewing healthcare professional engagement contracts, managing declarations to healthcare authorities, and ensuring adherence to international regulations, local laws, and company compliance standards
Manage enterprise insurance operations, including policy administration, claims processing, renewals, and insurer coordination-freeing your leadership team to focus on strategic risk management initiatives
Execute contract administration and review across multiple compliance areas: healthcare compliance agreements, data protection clauses, information security appendices, and general terms-learning the company's compliance framework and negotiation playbook on the job
Support risk management infrastructure, including maintenance of the internal control framework, implementation of mitigation measures, and preparation of periodic reporting to relevant committees
Contribute to compliance communications, including assistance with policy writing, training materials, and guidance documentation to help SOPHiA GENETICS staff understand legal requirements
Stay current on developments in risk management and compliance to keep the organization ahead of regulatory changes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal background (law studies, JD track, or equivalent legal education)
  • 1-2 years of professional experience, including internships (recent graduates with hands-on corporate legal internship experience welcome; law firm research experience is less relevant)
  • Fluent English (written and verbal) - this is our primary business language
  • Organized and structured mindset - you thrive on systems, checklists, and methodical workflows. Not creative; rigorous and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills - you can juggle multiple deadlines without dropping a ball
