How you’ll make an impact:

As a Consultant on our Healthcare Revenue Analytics team, you will partner with health system finance and revenue cycle leaders to improve net revenue performance through payor contract modeling, pricing strategy, and reimbursement analysis.  You will leverage StrataJazz® as a tool to implement these strategies and drive measurable financial impact.  The StrataJazz® Decision Support suite is rated #1 in KLAS and is known as the “gold standard” for understanding financial outcomes. You will partner directly with and provide guidance to key team members and executive stakeholders at the largest health systems in the world.

This role is intended for professionals with hands-on experience in healthcare revenue cycle, payor contracting, or reimbursement.  This role is not a pure data, reporting, or IT role.  Success in this position requires deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle operations.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Partner with customers to design and implement payor contract strategies through modeling reimbursement terms, evaluating financial impact, and optimizing net revenue performance
  • Model financial impact of payor/provider contract terms, reimbursement changes, and strategic scenarios to support decision-making
  • Advise clients on best practices in revenue cycle performance, chargemaster strategy, and market positioning
  • Lead design sessions with customers to define user requirements, configure payor contract models, and validate results
  • Using the StrataJazz® software reporting capabilities, build reports, review net revenue results at the payor and claim level, and ensure accuracy of payor models
  • Review and analyze customer chargemaster details to provide advisement for trends and market comparisons
  • Collaborate with Strata's internal teams to continuously improve product capabilities and customer outcomes
  • Lead onsite and web-based customer training to ensure customers understand specific features and functions related to StrataJazz®
  • Communicate proactively with Strata team members, managers, project managers, and executives on issues and risks that may arise during customer engagements. Proactively develop and execute action plans to mitigate risks and ensure successful project completion
  • Meaningfully contribute to operational improvement and strategic growth projects to enable Strata to continue to scale operations and continually improve our level of service to customers

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in healthcare revenue cycle, reimbursement, or payor contracting
  • Understanding of:
  • Payor/provider contract modeling
  • Payor negotiations
  • Medicare and/or Medicaid reimbursement
  • Clinical coding terminology
  • Chargemaster management
  • Experience leading clients through complex projects with a focus on timeline and budget
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership
  • Advanced Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, IF Statements)
  • Willingness to travel within the US as needed to customer locations up to 20–35%.

You’ll Really Wow Us:

  • Experience with creating “what-if” scenarios and building reports and dashboards
  • Experience implementing and configuring software
  • Exposure to data tools (e.g. SQL) is helpful but not required; this role is not a technical development position

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000
Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role. In addition, Strata provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
