Consultant - New York

150Bond | Full-time | Hybrid

150Bond advises C-suite executives on how to tell their story as they scale. We work with founders, executives, and investors at some of the most consequential companies in tech — across AI, fintech, deep tech, sustainability, web3, venture capital, future of work, and B2B enterprise. We're a small team by design: you'll work directly with senior leadership, and your clients will know your name.

The role

You'll lead the day-to-day operations of accounts — driving creative strategies for clients, securing the coverage that moves the needle, and keeping every workstream on track. You likely have experience as an account manager or associate director. This is a hands-on role: you'll run client calls, plan news announcements, manage media outreach, and delegate to and mentor junior team members. You'll be responsible for the engine rooms of our client teams, and we'll expect you to build strong client relationships and push towards the next level.

Must-haves
  • 3–7 years of experience in PR or communications, ideally with agency experience
  • A track record of securing top-tier coverage across broadcast, print, and online — think Bloomberg, Fortune, WSJ, NYT, CNN, CNBC, TechCrunch — as well as industry trades
  • Established journalist relationships you can leverage to drive coverage and opportunities for clients
  • Experience managing high-profile corporate clients, with the communication skills to match
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities in a busy environment: client relationship management, driving client calls, planning announcements, end-of-month reporting, and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organization, time management, and close attention to detail
  • Excellent writing skills
  • A creative, ideas-first approach with the strategic mindset to consistently over-deliver
  • A good understanding of the media landscape, ideally with some tech knowledge and an eye for the trends that matter to clients
  • A solid grasp of the tech topics of today, from AI to enterprise tech and fintech
Nice-to-haves
  • Experience mentoring junior staff or line-managing a team
  • Knowledge of any of our practice areas: B2B enterprise, deep tech, fintech, future of work, venture capital, sustainability, or web3
  • Experience working with new media and an understanding of how to get maximum impact from niche outlets
  •
What good looks like in the first 90 days

The day-to-day of your account runs without anyone above you having to check — calls driven, announcements planned, reporting delivered on time. You've placed coverage your clients are proud of, and the junior team members around you are getting better because you're there.

Benefits and perks
  • Summer Fridays, plus a month of flexible work-from-anywhere in August
  • Hybrid working the rest of the year
  • Moving Day — a day off when you move
  • Matched 401k, healthcare, and phone bill
  • Personal budget for home office, wellness, or gym
  • In-house fireside speaker series with authors, journalists, and industry leaders
  • Team offsites, appreciation lunches, and happy hours

Compensation: $85-150k base salary, plus bonus. Placement within the range depends on experience.
