About Shef
At Shef, we're bringing humanity back to mealtime by connecting consumers with talented chefs in their community. By introducing the sharing economy to the dinner table, we create meaningful economic opportunities for chefs while making homemade meals more accessible and affordable. Shefs on the platform craft menus inspired by their passion and expertise, preparing meals in small batches and delivering them to your door—so you can enjoy the warmth of a homemade meal without the hassle.
We have raised over $100M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, and M13, as well as founders and executives from Instacart, TaskRabbit, StubHub, AngelList, Lyft, Airbnb, and Yelp. We have a ton of exciting work ahead of us and are excited to have you join us!
As Content & Community Manager at Shef, you'll be our creative engine—someone who can grab their phone to shoot compelling TikTok content and then build workflows to scale that creation. This isn't your traditional social media role. We're looking for a modern creator who thinks strategically, loves experimenting with new platforms and formats, and gets excited about using smart tools and automation to amplify reach.
You'll own our content strategy from ideation to execution, driving traffic and generating leads that convert into Shef subscribers. The ideal candidate is someone who's built a following, understands what makes content shareable, and has probably experimented with automation tools or simple integrations to scale their work. You're scrappy enough to handle solo content creation but strategic enough to build sustainable systems that grow our reach.
You'll be joining an energetic, scrappy team in our NYC office, working hybrid with 3 days in-office collaboration. This role reports to the Associate Director, Acquisition and is perfect for someone who wants to blend creativity with smart process innovation to drive real business impact.
