We're the Music Mission Design team, a multidisciplinary group building the experiences that help artists and their teams grow, connect with fans, and shape culture. From rich data insights to messaging tools and release workflows, we design Spotify for Artists, our platform used by artists worldwide to manage their careers and tell their stories.
This role sits at the intersection of language, systems, and creativity. You'll help define how artists understand what's working, plan what's next, and engage their audience, all through clear, impactful content design. If you're excited about designing with language, collaborating across disciplines, and supporting a global community of creators, you'll find space here to grow and lead.
We're looking for a Content Designer to join the Music Mission. You'll focus on shaping clear, helpful, and impactful user experiences across Spotify for Artists, with an emphasis on analytics, release tools, video management, messaging, and prompt-based features.
This is a mid-level role for someone who's confident writing for product flows and systems, energized by complexity, and passionate about helping users take action with clarity and confidence.
What You'll Do
- Craft user-facing microcopy across on Spotify for Artists that help artists understand and grow their audience
- Design prompts and system responses for AI-assisted workflows, shaping user input, tone, and fallback messaging
- Drive terminology and glossary alignment across product surfaces, ensuring consistency and scalability
- Partner with product design, PM, engineering, and research to align on UX strategy and product outcomes
- Build out design system efforts by documenting reusable content patterns, naming conventions, and component guidance
- Engage in critique, async reviews, and content syncs with other content designers across the mission
Who You Are
- You're a UX writer and content designer with proven experience writing clear, useful, and brand-aligned copy in product interfaces
- You have hands-on experience with prompt design and understand how language shapes user-to-system interaction
- You can navigate ambiguity, collaborate across teams, and tackle complex flows that span states, surfaces, or systems
- You care about consistency and see content as a system, not just a screen
- You're eager to grow, asking questions, contributing ideas, and helping raise the bar for content design across the team
- Bonus: You have interest in creator tools, the music industry, or data visualization for non-technical users
Where You'll Be
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the EST and CET timezone region as long as we have a work location
- This team operates within the U.S. Eastern time zone for collaboration
