Our Mission
Healthcare should work for patients, but it doesn’t. In their time of need, they call down outdated insurance directories. Then wait on hold. Then wait weeks for the privilege of a visit. Then wait in a room solely designed for waiting. Then wait for a surprise bill. In any other consumer industry, the companies delivering such a poor customer experience would not survive. But in healthcare, patients lack market power. Which means they are expected to accept the unacceptable.
Zocdoc’s mission is to give power to the patient. To do that, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace that makes it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care in all 50 states, across +200 specialties and +12k insurance plans. By giving patients the ability to see and choose, we give them power. In doing so, we can make healthcare work like every other consumer sector, where businesses compete for customers, not the other way around. In time, this will drive quality up and prices down.
We’re 18 years old and the leader in our space, but we are still just getting started. If you like solving important, complex problems alongside deeply thoughtful, driven, and collaborative teammates, read on.
Your Impact on Our Mission
Healthcare marketing is full of noise — generic whitepapers, recycled stats, webinars nobody remembers. The marketing and growth leaders at health systems and large practices deserve better, and we're going to give it to them. You'll produce the content that cuts through: original research, benchmark reports, long-form guides, and webinars built on proprietary data and real insight. The kind of work that gets circulated in a strategy meeting or cited in a board deck.
Your Day-to-Day
- Running original research programs from start to finish — designing surveys, analyzing results, and writing the reports that turn proprietary data into something the industry actually references
- Producing webinars end-to-end: topic development, speaker prep, promotion, and cutting the recording into content that lives beyond the event
- Writing and producing long-form gated content — ebooks, guides, benchmark reports — that marketing and growth leaders at health systems download because it's genuinely useful to them
- Turning each big asset into a full campaign: blog posts, social content, email sequences, sales collateral
- Partnering with Provider Acquisition, Lifecycle Marketing, Comms, PR, and SEO to make sure your work drives pipeline and earns press
- Tracking form fills, MQLs, registrations, attendance rates — and using that data to decide what to build next
You'll Enjoy This Role If You Are...
- Someone who loves the long game — a months-long research project that becomes the thing your industry talks about
- Energized by production: coordinating surveys, wrangling data, building a webinar from nothing
- Proud of the whitepapers and reports you've made, and you can point to the pipeline they drove
- A strong writer who can also manage a dozen moving pieces at once without losing the thread
You'll Be Successful In This Role If You Have...
- 5–8 years of content marketing experience with a strong focus on demand generation
- Experience producing original research — surveys, benchmark reports, data studies — that people actually cited or used
- A portfolio of long-form gated content that generated real pipeline
- Track record producing webinars people show up for
- Strong project management skills — you've run complex, multi-asset campaigns without dropping things
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- Journalism experience strongly preferred
- Healthcare, B2B, or marketplace experience a plus
