Based remotely, the post-production department plays a busy and vital role within the VICE Media Group.


Role X You

VICE NEWS is seeking an experienced Post Production Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience in network news and/or a long form broadcast environment, is extremely organized and has a passion for process and operations. Communication is key for this role and it requires an individual who is detail oriented, adept at multitasking, can work independently and remain calm during stressful situations while managing urgent deadlines with a diplomatic and solution oriented attitude.


Responsibilities 

  • ·   Assign and prioritize AE assignments such as footage prep, exports, cue sheets and deliverables prep.
  • ·   Distribute and track rough cut and locked cut versions for legal, executive and network approval
  • ·   Coordinate notes and feedback communication including tracking QC fixes with production and Network.
  • ·   Oversee the on-time delivery of all network deliverables, including all documents, versioning, closed captions and media deliverables.
  • ·   Author,distribution and maintenance  of weekly schedules.


Experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Excel, Google Calendar, Gmail, etc.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with audio and color software.
  • Prefer knowledge of media formats and video codecs.
  • Knowledge of post-production workflow processes.

You have these:

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • 2-4 years experience as a post-production coordinator in a Television and Digital Media environment.
