WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The Engagement and Education team is focused on ensuring successful adoption for Box customers all over the world. As part of our team you will help us ensure that we build to scale, tackle foundational content creation, organize and deploy challenges across multiple customer touch points.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, you will become a leading expert in how Box approaches and deploys content across the customer experience. You will help us set the north star of self-serve content experiences by helping us approach content consistently.
Drive
Drive large-scale content strategy projects sought at scaling our help and learn ecosystem through self-serve content experiences
Improve the impact and effectiveness of our content through user research studies, benchmark analysis, data collection, and competitive research
Use knowledge of learning styles to help teams deliver a variety of content types to reach multiple audiences
Formalize templates and tools for practicing content strategy at the team level (ex: content audit, data analysis, impact assessments)
Define
Create process documents, functional specifications, user stories, and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience.
Develop and maintain taxonomies, metadata models, conditionalization, and classification schemas across our content.
Define the support content strategy for a given project or product release, collaborating with content teams to develop clear and concise content across multiple touch points
Collaborate with business analytics to define content KPIs across key journey touch points in order to measure content effectiveness
WHO YOU ARE
You're a team player that collaborates well with other support tiers and colleagues of varying experience.
You have the ability to champion an idea from its early stages through organizational adoption, leading through influence and sound judgement.
You have familiarity with content across multiple applications, surfaces and outcomes.
You can offer a content strategy perspective throughout the product development process and release cycles, influencing strategic decisions across and within products to improve the overall experience and ensure consistency across platforms
You are able to Partner with Product and Technology teams, content administrators, and content developers to assess the current content experiences and determine immediate and long-term needs to support content management, publishing, and reuse.
Fine print:
7+ years experience creating product-related content and/or content design
Master’s degree in Information Science, Library Science, or related field or equivalent experience
Experience building taxonomies, terminology databases, and thesauri
Experience creating successful customer-facing content experiences
Experience with multi-channel content publishing
Expert at using data, user research, and industry trends to inform content decisions
Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities to optimize and automate content publishing processes
Solid understanding of user experience design principles and interaction patterns
Strong project management skills and self-driven approach to work
