We’re seeking out an equally conceptual & hands-on Copywriter to tackle a range of copy deliverables, from concepting for meals, to integrated campaigns to multi-touchpoint activations. The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for building the brand and creating new, exciting content daily. This role will require the ability to manage multiple deadlines, turn around projects quickly, and take data and trends and turn them into new thinking.
Copy and content sit at the center of a lot of what we do as a business, so being able to work across teams and for many different stakeholders is key. While Freshly is growing quickly, we’re a lean team that relies on testing and learning plus a massive amount of collaboration and communication.
We’re in search of a true jack/jill-of-all-trades who’s comfortable writing anything from UX copy to direct mail, blog articles to packaging directions. If you’re in the know when it comes to food, tech, or digital marketing, you may be a great fit!
- Deliver compelling copy across channels and platforms—above-the-line, below-the- line, on-the-line, when there is no line, etc.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice while still writing copy that feels fresh and new, personalized and friendly, clear and knowledgeable.
- Collaborate with the design, brand, and social media teams to deliver outstanding creative on time, every time.
- Collaborate with creative director on adding depth to the voice of the brand.
- Digest test learnings and feedback to optimize copy and turn around edits quickly.
- Work with people across the whole company as the ultimate team player.
- 6+ years of experience within an in-house or agency environment (subscription-based client experience is a major plus).
- 2+ years of experience directly managing one or more copywriter.
- Proven experience working on multiple types of content, with a well-curated portfolio.
- Proven ability to create compelling campaigns, lead campaigns and create blue sky ideas that can propel an organization in exciting and relevant directions.
- Start-up experience is a major plus.
- A food fan who’s inspired by food trends, wellness/nutrition news, and cool content in general.
- A thoughtful questioner who thinks outside the box and knows when to push back vs. when to keep it moving.
- Loud-and-proud grammar geek with a strong opinion on the Oxford comma.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study.
