The Job

NARRATIV is building a new marketing team and looking to hire our first ever Content Marketing/Editorial Lead! This person will be responsible for defining the editorial voice of our company (aligned to our brand re-launch this fall), and planning, developing and delivering on our content strategy. 

This person will shape how and through what mediums we tell stories at NARRATIV. Whether it’s launching our first YouTube channel, starting a podcast, or telling customer stories through a newsletter or blog, you’ll own delivering the right content, at the right time to the right audience. You’ll play a critical role in scaling our company’s impact – building a unique new brand from the ground up that can empower millions of creators to start, grow, and collaborate on commerce together.

Your Impact

  • Understand the customer journey and develop a content strategy and roadmap to inspire, educate and inform our audiences 
  • Deliver content in multiple mediums and formats to speak to our customers and answer their questions as they engage with our brand and product
  • Define and develop a plan to execute our core content strategy, including identifying new hires or outside support we’ll need to make your strategy come to life 
  • Manage agencies, vendors as well as effectively collaborate with internal teams to support projects and initiatives
  • Identify and scope marketing content projects in line with overall marketing strategy and priorities. Own and guide the editorial direction, production, delivery and measurement of those assets whether videos, blog posts, podcasts, and more
  • Ensure our customer’s stories are at the heart of the content we introduce during the customer journey
  • Create our editorial guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Own and guide the editorial direction, production, delivery and measurement of those assets whether videos, blog posts, podcasts, and more
  • Ensure our customer’s stories are at the heart of the content we introduce during the customer journey
  • Create our editorial guidelines
  • Define and execute a content strategy that will bring our brand to life, and serve and engage our customers 
  • Define our brand voice and develop editorial guidelines that can scale as we build out the team
  • Launch our social and content channels under the banner of our new company branding

Requirements

  • 8+ years marketing experience in journalism, content, corporate or customer marketing
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with content producers, creative and editorial teams, field marketing and externally, with customers and agencies
  • A customer-first approach with a passion for storytelling and creative marketing
  • Creative and inventive problem solver capable of operating both in a strategic capacity and a hands-on/execution capacity
  • Can-do, positive, inspiring attitude and appetite for trying new things
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Track record of success in a dynamic, sometimes hectic environment

Location

Our office was right in the center of Grand Central and very close to Bryant Park. But now we are operating fully remote!
