Technical Writer R&D
SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we're simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
By catering to both consumers and enterprises, we're powering a new, open entertainment ecosystem where fans have effortless access to experiences, and teams, venues, and shows have seamless access to their audiences. Because everyone should expect more from ticketing. We're looking for a Technical Writer who can help empower our engineers and the partners who use our technology by creating clear and instructive documentation that demystifies our technology and writing delightful communications that disseminates information in an easy to read and understand.
What you'll do
You'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers across the org to identify gaps and flaws in how we're documenting and communicating knowledge and then work tirelessly to address those areas. More specifically, you'll:
- Create and update both API documentation for both internal and external end-users
- Write documentation and how-tos for the internal tools and services our teams use every day
- Work on emails, presentations, and other internal comms that help keep our team informed and updated
- Write original content and edit the submissions of others for our developer blog
Who you are
We're looking for a candidate who obsesses over their audience and the reading experience; someone who - whether it is a company-wide email or technical docs for a SeatGeek API - gets excited about crafting the perfect message and delivering information as clearly and succinctly as possible. While not strictly required, some other qualifications we prefer are:
- 2+ years of experience in a developer support or technical documentation writing role.
- Experience working with software engineers and taking complicated technical topics and breaking them down into easy-to-understand prose.

- A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
- Flexible PTO
- Up to 16 weeks of paid family leave

- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
