Technical Writer
Swxtch.io is searching for an experienced technical writer to join our team, reporting into the Head of Product. We are looking for a talented technical writer to help create and build product documentation, website content, user assistance infrastructure, and manage our technical blogs. You will be a core part of the product team working closely with engineering, product marketing, and customer enablement to create resources that don’t just document what the product does but also accelerate a customer from novice to power user.
This job is a hybrid role located in the New York office.

What You'll Do:
- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
- Work with product managers, solutions architects, product marketing, and engineers to produce and maintain world-class documentation
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience
- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand requirements, including meaningful contribution to the swxtch.io Technical Blog
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Work with product, sales, solutions architect, product marketing, and engineering leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
- Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation and technical blogs
You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field or equivalent technical experience
- 2-4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics
- Previous experience writing documentation, procedural and technical marketing materials for multiple audiences
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
- You are comfortable and familiar with cloud infrastructure and networking technology
- Able to convey complex concepts in a clear, concise, and consistent manner for a variety of audiences - technical and non technical

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting annual base pay is between $130,000 and $160,000 for this NY-based position. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
