Contract-based Immigration Hearing Coverage Attorney Opportunity – New York City / Newark / Philadelphia – 5+ Hours/Week - Flat Rates $150 to $1000 per Hearing Type

We are a national network of experienced, high-level freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote, on-demand support for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.

Our client has an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Immigration Attorney to provide ongoing Master Calendar and Individual (Merits) Hearing coverage in New York City, Newark, and Philadelphia.

Work hours will vary but are expected to start at approximately 5+ hours per week, with recurring in-person hearing coverage needs.

Attorney Responsibilities: 

• Provide coverage for Master Calendar Hearings
  
• Handle Individual (Merits) Hearings
  
• Review case files and prepare for scheduled hearings
  
• Appear in immigration court as needed
  
• Communicate with clients and supervising attorneys
  
• Provide timely updates following hearings
  
• Assist with other immigration matters as needed
  

Attorney Requirements: 

• Licensed and in good standing to practice Law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  
• 5+ years of immigration law experience
  
• Strong immigration court experience
  
• Experience handling Master Calendar Hearings
  
• Experience handling Individual (Merits) Hearings
  
• Available for in-person coverage in New York City, Newark, and/or Philadelphia
  
• Strong communication and client-service skills
  
• Responsive, dependable, and able to work independently
  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Fluency in Russian, Uzbek, or Tajik is highly preferred
  
• Fluency in Georgian, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, or Kyrgyz is also a significant plus
  
• Interest in providing ongoing immigration hearing coverage
  

Our Attorney pay rate is flat fee:  $150 for remote MCH; $500 for in-person MCH; $1000 for in-person Individual Hearings
