We are currently seeking a Contract Communications Manager to support internal communications for company acquisitions, with a primary focus on delivering clear, timely, and empathetic communications that create a positive experience for employees joining Enverus through acquisition.
This role is execution-focused and hands-on. The ideal candidate excels at developing and delivering communications, adapting playbooks to real-world integration needs, and ensuring employees of acquired companies feel informed, supported, and connected throughout the integration journey. This is a full-time contractor role for six months or more and is intentionally less senior than a director role, with success measured by quality, clarity, and consistency of execution.
The role works closely with Communications, HR, IT, and Integration teams and embraces an AI-first mindset to improve efficiency, speed, and scalability of communications delivery.
Performance Objectives
Acquisition & Integration Communications
  • Develop and execute internal communications plans for acquisitions, from announcement through integration milestones.
  • Create clear, employee-centric messaging for acquired employees, including Day 1 communications, FAQs, leadership messages, and change updates.
  • Translate complex integration activities (systems, policies, organizational changes) into simple, accessible communications.
  • Partner closely with HR, IT, Legal, and Integration leads to ensure accuracy, timing, and alignment of messaging.
  • Support leadership and people managers with communication toolkits and talking points to reinforce consistency and clarity.

Playbook Development & Adaptation
  • Execute against the existing acquisition communications and integration playbook.
  • Continuously refine and improve playbook content based on employee feedback, lessons learned, and acquisition complexity.
  • Tailor communications approaches to the size, culture, and needs of each acquired organization while maintaining Enverus voice and values.

Employee Experience Focus
  • Champion the employee experience for acquired teams by ensuring communications are empathetic, inclusive, and transparent.
  • Proactively identify areas of confusion or concern and recommend communications to address them.
  • Support storytelling that helps acquired employees understand Enverus' mission, culture, and ways of working.

Content Development & Channel Execution
  • Draft, edit, and deliver high-quality internal communications including emails, intranet content, FAQs, leadership announcements, and presentations.
  • Manage timelines, approvals, and distribution across internal channels to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain consistent tone, voice, and messaging across all acquisition communications.

AI-Enabled Efficiency
  • Use Generative AI tools to accelerate drafting, editing, summarization, and localization of communications.
  • Apply AI thoughtfully to improve speed and scale while maintaining human judgment, quality, and empathy.
  • Help identify repeatable templates and workflows that improve efficiency for future acquisitions.

Success Measures
  • Acquired employees receive clear, timely, and consistent communications throughout the integration process.
  • Communications are accurate, well-structured, and easy to understand, even during complex change.
  • Integration playbooks improve over time based on real-world execution and feedback.
  • Stakeholders experience Communications as organized, responsive, and execution-oriented.
  • AI tools are used effectively to increase efficiency without compromising quality.

Competitive Candidate Profile
Required Experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in internal communications, change communications, or corporate communications.
  • Hands-on experience supporting M&A, acquisitions, or large-scale organizational change.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in fast-moving environments.
  • Comfortable working in a contractor role that emphasizes delivery and execution.

Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in technology or SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with HR, IT, and operational integration communications.
  • Practical experience using Generative AI tools to support communications workflows.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Collaborative working style with the confidence to partner across functions.
