Contracts Manager, Public Sector -

Federal, State, Local, Education

**REMOTE**

Iron Mountain is seeking a Contracts Manager, Public Sector to join our Government Solutions team. The Contracts Manager, Public Sector is responsible for supporting strategic and complex opportunities with Federal, State, Local and Education customers, administration of existing contracts, and building relationships with government contracting officers and internal stakeholders. This remote position is for an individual contributor who demonstrates leadership, the ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contract lifecycle, including proposals, quotes, negotiations, awards, change orders, modifications, ongoing contract administration and close out.
  • Help to assure compliance with government and internal company compliance requirements.
  • Draft, edit, and revise contractual agreements to ensure alignment with pre-approved or standard terms, as applicable.
  • Review and analyze terms and conditions and advise on compliance with FAR, GSAR, DFARS, other agency-specific regulations, and Executive Orders.
  • Perform risk assessment to identify business and legal areas of risk, and collaborate with legal and business stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
  • Advise on the development of compliant proposals to address customer solicitation requirements, pricing strategies, and legal, regulatory, and business requirements 
  • Collaborate with legal and senior management to escalate approval requests for non-standard terms and conditions.
  • Serve as the interface between Federal, State, Local and Education contracting officers and Iron Mountain to strengthen existing and new relationships.
  • Follow existing policies and processes and recommend strategies for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Must have the ability to take on leadership responsibilities within a project or team, supervise the work of junior staff, and provide guidance and training as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Uncompromising integrity and dependability.
  • Experience in both Federal and SLED contracting and commercial contracting concepts; experience with commercial item (FAR Part 12) and GSA Federal Supply Schedules is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent organizing, process management, time management, analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly as it relates to adhering to contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements and company policy.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus of a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum 6 years prior Public Sector contracts experience.
  • NCMA professional certification (CPCM, CFCM, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Must be an experienced self-starter with proven ability to handle a high-volume of transactions, complexity, and competing priorities.

Reasonably expected salary range: $123,500.00 - $164,700.00

Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
