What You’ll Do

  • Draft and proof-read corporate messages and documents (executive bios, news releases/pitches, invitations, etc.)
  • Conduct daily media monitoring and press clips distribution.
  • Maintain and update company announcement calendars and industry events calendar.
  • Maintain media and distribution lists.
  • Support media research and fact-checking efforts.
  • Advance internal communications initiatives on behalf of SMP, SMG, Sony Group, and SCA.
  • General administration duties (tracking and submitting ad invoices, subscription renewals, etc.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably)
  • 2 years of experience in communications, public relations, public affairs, or music/entertainment publicity.
  • Interest in music and entertainment, passionate about music, songwriters and composers.
  • Technologically savvy, with experience working in Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Must be able to multi-task and stay on top of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

DISCLAIMER: The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $45,000 - $50,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
