About Ovative Group:

Ovative Group is an independent, full-funnel media, measurement, and creative firm. Leveraging our deep industry expertise, we help brands like Best Buy, Domino's, American Eagle, The Home Depot, Post, Disney, Tumi, Michael Kors, Boost Mobile, and UnitedHealth Group transform their media and measurement programs. The result? Profitable growth that speaks for itself.

At Ovative, we don't just track data, we redefine success. How do we do it? Our proprietary MarTech platform, EMRge helps businesses transform marketing into a driver of sustainable growth. Powered by Enterprise Marketing Return (EMR), our differentiated approach to holistic media buying, planning, and measurement, EMRge is the first MarTech platform to measure businesses holistically. We're all about raising the bar every day, and it shows. Our work has been recognized by organizations like Digiday, Google, Inc. 5000, USA Today, and Search Engine Land.

About the Role:

Creative Lab is Ovative’s in-house creative engine — built on our vision of modern making. As part of the broader Creative Team (Influencer + Creative Lab), we unite brand strategy, cultural relevance, creators, AI enablement, and strategic media to create big ideas that people actually feel, remember, and act upon.

We’re looking for an exceptional Copywriter who leads with bold creative vision — concepting and crafting work from first spark to final asset. This is a role for a writer who loves language, sweats the details, and knows how to make complex stories sound simple, surprising, and fun.

We’re also looking for a modern maker: someone who’s as comfortable jamming on a big platform idea as they are writing social copy or using AI tools to push the work further, faster.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead creative development across campaigns and channels, partnering closely with strategists, art directors, and media teams to produce big ideas grounded in insights and elevated by bold execution.
  • Interpret briefs and data-led insights to turn them into compelling creative territories, platforms, and narratives.
  • Write compelling, on-brand copy that can flex across full-funnel ecosystems — from TV and radio scripts to thumb-stopping social ads and performance banners.
  • Present work internally and to clients with a clear, confident narrative that connects idea, execution, and performance impact.
  • Bring a high bar for craft: persuasive headlines and storytelling structure, all the way to grammar, clarity, and consistency.
  • Think visually as well as verbally — using AI and other tools to rough in layouts, storyboards, and image concepts that help bring ideas to life.
  • Use AI and emerging tools as part of your creative process — from exploration and territory development to versioning and optimization.
  •  Incorporate feedback thoughtfully, protecting the integrity of strong ideas while addressing stakeholder needs.
  • Manage multiple projects at once, communicating proactively about timelines, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Stay on top of platform best practices, cultural trends, and the evolving role of creative in the media ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • 3+  years of copywriting experience in an agency, in-house creative team or brand environment.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking, storytelling and craft across digital and social channels. Experience in performance or direct-response work is a plus.
  • Thrive as part of a creative team on integrated campaigns.
  •  Exceptional writing skills – from short-form social copy and headlines to scripts and long-form content – with a keen eye for clarity, brevity and voice.
  • Ability to translate strategy, data and complex information into simple, persuasive ideas and copy.
  • Fluency with digital platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google/YouTube) and how creative needs to flex across each.
  • Familiarity with AI and generative tools in a creative context, and curiosity to keep experimenting as the tools evolve.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple priorities without sacrificing craft.
  •  Strong collaborator who brings a clear point of view, listens well, and elevates ideas through partnership – especially with your Art Director counterpart.
  • Proactive, accountable and detail-oriented – you take ownership of the work and the results it drives.
  • Champion a culture of craft, curiosity, and creative ambition – mentoring junior creatives and helping shape where the Creative Lab goes next.
