Are you passionate about communications, government affairs and making a positive impact? You will lead all corporate and government affairs activities across Greece and Cyprus (GR & CY) and serve as a key member of the GR & CY market management team. You will build positive relations with key internal and external stakeholders, protect the company's license to operate and manage corporate reputation.
Responsibilities
Government Affairs
  • Develop strategic public and government affairs plans to advocate for our key business issues, across stakeholder groups, and influence local policy agenda.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, work with internal stakeholders on assessing potential impact for our business and devise the right course of action to mitigate risks and achieve commercial objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies and key policy stakeholders to ensure the company's interests are well represented.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the EU, regional and global public affairs teams to ensure engagement on major cross-market, industry issues.
  • Develop advocacy positions and engagement strategies on issues affecting the business.
  • Support our manufacturing network with stakeholder engagement and community building.

Corporate Affairs
  • Develop proactive and engaging external communications roadmap based on key business issues and priorities, setting clear objectives, strategy and plans.
  • Draft briefing papers, submissions, presentations, press releases, and other content for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage crisis communications and issues management in collaboration with the local team.
  • Provide strategic guidance and advice on communications to senior management and colleagues across Mondelēz International
  • Actively contribute to internal communication and employee engagement, including CSR and volunteering opportunities, internal event organization (i.e. Townhalls, internal conferences, etc).
  • Lead customer-related ESG communications, aligned with key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts.

More about this role
What you will bring:
  • At least 8+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek with the ability to inform, engage, and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Experience in public/government affairs, gained within a multinational or large organization, a political setting, an industry association, or a PR agency will be an asset.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a genuine passion for communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.
  • A keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
