Bellota Labs — ClubWPT Gold

At Bellota Labs, we're a fast-paced, hypergrowth startup poised to revolutionize the gaming world with ClubWPT Gold — a groundbreaking product featuring the World Poker Tour. Driven by innovation, game integrity, and exceptional customer experiences, we're on a mission to set new standards in online gaming. We're seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team and serve as a trusted, hands-on legal partner across the business, with deep expertise in iGaming and sweepstakes law. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants real ownership over complex, fast-moving legal work — not just a seat at the table.

Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as a legal advisor on sweepstakes compliance, gaming regulations, and general corporate promotional law across all jurisdictions we operate in.

    • Partner closely with the Head of Legal to build out and scale the legal function as the company grows.

    • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, licensing deals, and partnership agreements.

    • Provide practical, business-first guidance on gray areas of gaming law — helping the business move fast while staying within acceptable risk tolerance.

    • Advise on employment law matters and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

    • Monitor and interpret evolving state and federal gaming, sweepstakes, and consumer protection regulations, translating them into clear guidance for the business.

    • Manage relationships with outside counsel and regulators where needed, and lead select matters independently.

    • Support corporate governance, risk management, and day-to-day business operations.

    • Review marketing, advertising, and promotional materials for legal and regulatory compliance.

    • Help build out internal legal processes, templates, and playbooks as the team scales.

What We Are Looking For

    • 4+ years of experience in general business law, with meaningful focus on gaming, sweepstakes, media, entertainment, or tech startups.

    • Direct experience in iGaming and/or sweepstakes law is stronglylaw strongly preferred.

    • Background in a large law firmBig Law and/or in-house at a high-growth company; comfortable operating with startup speed and ambiguity.

    • Strong track record in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

    • A proactive, business-first mindset — comfortable making calls in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments.

    • NOT a litigator — we're looking for a strategic legal partner and skilled negotiator, not trial experience.

    • Highly independent and self-directed, capable of owning a wide range of legal matters with minimal oversight.

    • Excited about flexible, remote work with significant responsibility and room to grow into broader legal leadership over time.

If you're excited to be part of a fast-growing team redefining the online gaming experience, we'd love to hear from you. Join us at Bellota Labs and help shape the future of gaming innovation!
