MeridianLink is looking for a Corporate Development Manager to join our growing Corporate Development team. This is a high-visibility role that sits at the center of our M&A activity — from sourcing and evaluating acquisition targets to supporting transaction execution and integration. You'll work closely with our VP of Strategic Development, Senior Leaders and broad group of cross-functional experts, gaining broad exposure to the full deal lifecycle.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone coming from investment banking or private equity, who wants to transition into an operating company and develop deep expertise in the fintech and financial services software space.

Responsibilities

  • Support the build out the M&A pipeline consistent with the company's growth strategy, conduct due diligence on relevant companies, targets, and/ or potential partners, assess strategic fits and potential risks.

  • Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) to support deal evaluation.

  • Take the lead in the preparation of investment memorandums, board materials, and executive presentations summarizing deal rationale, risks, and recommendations

  • Participate in due diligence process – coordinating across internal teams (Finance, IT, Product, Legal, HR) and external advisors

  • Monitor competitive dynamics, industry trends, and the broader fintech/SaaS M&A landscape to help inform pipeline prioritization

  • Support the development and refinement of MeridianLink’s M&A playbook, including process documentation across deal sourcing, evaluation, and integration planning

  • Assist with relationship management with investment banks, advisors, our PE partners, and other external deal-related parties

  • Contribute to post-close integration workstreams as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development or management consulting

  • SaaS experience strongly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field

  • High level of self-sufficiency with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills – you’re comfortable building models from scratch and presenting findings to senior leadership

  • Understanding of M&A processes, including deal sourcing/structuring, due diligence, and execution, with a proven track record of contributing to closed deals

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to distill complex analyses into clear, concise narratives

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously

  • Effectively manage relevant external vendors (e.g., bankers, lawyers, accountants).

  • Collaborative team player who can work effectively across functions and with senior stakeholders
