Position Title: Corporate Ratings - Senior Analyst (NY)

Summary/Overview:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking an Senior Analyst to join our growing Corporate Ratings team to focus on conducting fundamental credit research.

As a Senior Analyst, you will have the ability to formulate a view on various industries and support ratings across various sectors. You will conduct credit research on a variety of industrial and service sectors along with developing industry/sector expertise including key rating factors and key credit metrics. By leading a corporate credit rating process, including interacting with issuers, their bankers and attorneys, you will develop a credit opinion with presentations in writing and in person to credit committees. You will provide input into credit analyses for published and unpublished reports for issuers and investors and monitor a wide variety of companies within our growing Corporate Finance rating coverage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the rating process by preparing internal credit reports for rating committees, analyzing cash flows, and performing sector analysis.
  • Provide research in relevant sectors.
  • Assist in the development and evolution of rating methodologies and criteria.
  • Participate in our outreach process demonstrating industry knowledge and understanding of KBRA methodologies at issuer and investor meetings.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience performing credit analysis in a rating agency, buy-side, credit research, banking, or other similar environments.
  • Strong interest and relevant experience in ratings, fixed income research, origination, or capital markets.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are essential.
  • Strong quantitative skills including advanced capabilities with Excel and proficiency in financial statement analysis.
  • Ability to work, lead, and seamlessly integrate in a highly collegial, dynamic, and innovative work environment.
  • Strong academic background with a degree in finance, economics or management, MBA or CFA is preferred.
  • Able to manage time and resources in a fast-growing company.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $105,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
