*Please Note: This opportunity is currently for Active Pooling — meaning we don’t have an immediate opening at this time. However, we’re always on the lookout for exceptional Creative Directors who share our passion for storytelling and innovation. By submitting your application now, you’ll be at the front of the line when a role opens up. If you’re a great fit, we’d love to consider you as we build something truly special at Telos Media. Don’t miss your chance to join a creative team that’s shaping the future of premium content!*About the Role:

Do you have a sharp sense of humor, a love for satire and history, and a passion for turning complex ideas into highly watchable, thought-provoking content? At MrSpherical, you’ll lead a channel with almost 2 million YouTube followers and growing, where geopolitics, culture, and storytelling collide to help millions think more critically about the world.

⛳️ Check out the MrSpherical channel hereAs our Creative Director, you are:
  • A strategic leader who thinks and acts like a business partner. You don’t wait to be told what to do—you understand the stakes, take ownership, and captain the team toward tangible, measurable growth in viewership, revenue, and educational impact.
  • Grounded in the YouTube and creator economy space, with a strong eye for what works and what converts on this platform—especially for animation.
  • An exceptional manager who can guide 5–10 creatives, animators, writers, and editors with clarity, kindness, and high standards. You anchor the team through changes, deadlines, and creative challenges.
  • Passionate about turning feedback into fire. You listen to the voice of the audience, mine feedback rigorously, and iterate rapidly to improve storytelling, pacing, and resonance.
  • Obsessed with excellence. You sweat the small stuff, chase down better ways to tell a story, and never settle for just “good enough.”
  • You want to be a business partner, who can earn equity in the brand they lead. Working together to rocket the brand, and even create a geopolitics board game with us, and so much more.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Own the creative and strategic direction of the channel—developing compelling stories that drive viewership and deepen our audience’s connection to the brand.
  • Manage the full production pipeline across scripting, storyboarding, animation, and editing—ensuring episodes ship on time and at top quality.
  • Review scripts, animation drafts, and edits with precision—making high-impact creative decisions that keep the content sharp, smart, and scroll-stopping.
  • Proactively shape content strategy and edit scripts with the channel’s writers and content strategist—planning episodes ahead with clear goals, direction, and creative hooks.
  • Lead highly productive meetings that cut through confusion and accelerate execution—especially when timelines are tight or feedback is complex.
  • Publish videos to YouTube, monitor performance metrics, and help steer the channel based on what resonates and performs.
  • Champion team rituals and improvements—everything from creative brainstorms to deadline sprints to workflow upgrades that make everyone’s work better.
Who you are (What are you obsessed with?)
  • You are obsessed with the quality of your work and the success of your channel. You are self-motivated towards success. You treat this job like a mission now that geopolitics is more important than ever, to learn about. You’re emotionally invested in growing the viewership, revenue, and impact of the brand.
  • You have a natural drive to improve, meet deadlines, and achieve more things in the future as a creative director.
  • You are rigorous in collecting feedback from anyone who can give a viewer perspective, and you are excellent at synthesizing these. You understand the voice of our audience and are deeply curious about what makes content resonate or fall flat.
  • You have high standards. You work relentlessly with the team to absolutely nail the quality within tight timelines. Example: you are obsessed with fixing a video within a 2-day deadline, so you organize 2 calls with 3 team members to fix the problems live. No back and forth, just dedicated work to fixing and synthesizing 3 different perspectives all at once.
  • You combine creative instincts with operational clarity—able to turn ideas into finished work through clear timelines and accountability.
  • You’re passionate about finding and developing great talent—and won’t compromise on building a high-performing, motivated team.
  • You have experience in animation, storytelling, or adjacent creative roles, ideally with direct exposure to YouTube or digital-first content.
Opportunity to Pitch New IP

Beyond leading existing channels, you’ll have the chance to pitch and develop new channels and IPs based on your own interests and creative vision. We encourage entrepreneurial thinking, so if an idea is approved, we’ll work together to bring it to life, with you taking the lead in shaping and executing the concept. As business partners with Telos Media, you’ll have the opportunity to share in the upside through equity or revenue participation, building something that’s as much yours as it is ours.
